shit is hell. you use your hip to do everything. so basically I had a bone impingement that wore away at my labrum causing a tare. so they went in there(arthroscopy) to fix the tare. they also found some torn cartilage he had to repair. so instead of 1 week on crutches and maybe 3 month recovery. it's going to be 3 weeks and 6 months. fml.

worst part so far aside from the day of surgery and the next is this strain or something in my tailbone. any flexion back there and it feels like a knife is going into my tailbone. standing up, rolling over in bed and even sitting at my desk. brutal.

wish my luck fellas and broads. won't even be driving my car for at least a week. I'll find out how long at post op on friday.

Nothing like the smell of a cadaver lab to give you nightmares. You're supposed to wear the same stuff every week because you throw it away after your last day. It's so interesting you don't notice the smell much. Except when it's time for lunch...

Want some more nightmare fodder?
Every fall through a sinkhole in an old grave and get stuck up to your armpits?
How about digging a new grave beside a year old one and take the whole end off the coffin with the backhoe because the other person didn't bury it straight? Any idea how hard it is to push a year dead body back into a broken coffin?
Ever have to wade through chest deep water and try to find the corpse that fell out of the coffin when it flipped over because the grave was full of water and the boss said to just open the lid a little and let it fill with water so it would sink?
Was also fun when the ground was frozen so we piled the caskets up in the end of the shop until they could be buried. Don't care if they were embalmed they stink.

Although I do believe you would still win!

Does not match my experience... certainly there were strong chemical smells, but nothing of the type to cause nightmares...

The cadaver lab is really pretty interesting - the illustrations in medical books are really just suggestive - everyone is as different inside as outside and there is quite a bit of variation with respect to size, location, shape and coloring of individual items...

I think I like this new thread...

Have I ever mention the time I removed a human brain? I was truly amazed at just how tough the dura mater is. It is almost as if your brain was never intended to leave the skull.

Nightmare fodder: I am not a MD.

For a summer when I was 15. It was eye opening to say the least.
