245/40r17 vs 225/45r17 opinions ?

So I'm really liking the 245 over the 225 but not sure if I will rub. I have konig oversteer 17x8 wheels. Lowered on eibach sportlines. I tried searching but found most run 235/40r17 which is not a bad tire just limited options. Really wanting to get away from the stretched look. Any thoughts or opinions appreciated. Thanks

For auto X maybe 245. If not, 225 with a good compound is more than enough with stock power. Too big a tire can really screw up the balance. I was on the fence and went to 225's with great grip (Yokohama 8r) and it's borderline too much grip for 200hp. There's a reason 200hp cars don't come with 245's

Keep us posted with your findings.. I will be changing from stock tyres to more sporty Michelins this July, not sure if it'll be the PSS or the new PS4 and whether I go up in size to 225\40s.
