Buy last year's model? That actually seems like a reasonable price to me, but I can't wear most shoes so end up in the higher end stuff.
I get about two years on a shoe, but only wear each once a week... Maybe twice. The missiles break down first in most cases. Walk a couple miles every day to/from he train and around. Looking at some nice leather hiking boots instead of the nice shoes... They're $400... Take care of your feet, and your hips and back will thank you when you get older. Enjoy the shoes. It's always nice when they're a great fit. |

Isn't that like the very first thing they teach you in the infantry?

Hey @Tcoat, not sure what the shipping situation is to Canada but you can get the matching mower for your pressure washer today on Woot.com.

Now, that reminds me of a back-in-the-day story (bear with me .... ).It was back in 1966 at Ft Benning, GA, during Ranger training, specifically on a escape and evasion exercise. We were deep into a Georgia swamp, tired and hungry, when four of us pulled up on some high ground to get out of the water for a spell. We started a fire (with a smuggled in zippo lighter) to warm up. Yes, you can get cold in a Georgia swamp ...... if you have been in the water for several hours. We had a nice fire going (just daring the RA (Regular Army)Ranger cadre to come that far into the swamp to try to recapture us) for we were growing weary of this "game" and looking for someone to beat the hell out of. Now the wet boot part. I had taken off my boots and wool socks and positioned my socks on a forked stick over the fire to dry them out. We all dozed off and when we woke up ....... my socks were all burnt up. So, with a belly partially full of raw water snake of some sort, I slipped on my wet combat boots, without socks and off we went. About 12 hours later, we reached the edge of the swamp where we were "rescued", stuffed into deuce and a half truck and transported back to the post. My feet were NOT a pretty sight ..... blisters ...... broken open blisters ...... blood oozing from blisters. I tried to take care of my feet ...... but, now, my hips hurt in the mornings ..... ![]() humfrz |
