The airbox in the 86 is basically the TRD box for the "old" car, is it not?

Yeah, how much for the filter?

Worse still, the TRD air box for nearly $400.00 installed is actually a freakin' K&N made item with a TRD logo. So is the drop-in filter. Not worth it.

I agree, that is what I said to the parts guy at my dealer. He called the other parts guy to come over to the computer. We all looked at the Toyota TRD dealer web site. It clearly said Air box intake tub filter and hardware.
