I'd always LOVED math and physics.. took all the advanced math and science classes I could in high school. Hated English and Social Studies/History classes with a passion, even though I DID have one great English teacher (thanks, Mr. Neil J. Maloney). I made it through Calc BC in HS (back in 1977).. maybe that's Calc 2 now? We did Calc AB, then BC...

Fast forward.. in college as a music major.. figured I'd take the next level math course w/ the math/engineering majors, just 'cause I was a genius, right? CRIPPLED me.. I had no IDEA what those guys were talking about. I barely made it through with a C, and I have no clue how I managed that.

I love math, and mucho props to all of you guys crunching at those levels.

Music is just another way to joyously express the complete interrelatedness of things, except we do it in real time w/ sound. Math explains it.. music celebrates it. Both are awesome.

You assume we're doing the crunching. No no, no, thats the math crunching me. I was a normal B-, C+ math student in HS ended with trigonometry (pre-calc), so im kind of amazed I got this far.

well in there, theres a car with a horn affectionately called the "Pig Whistle" .... i know it exists , its just rare or hidden somewhere on the net....

Haha... that would be dope.

I have a big-ass Hadley air horn in the garage. Too lazy to hunt for compressor and tank. Would be fun at meets.

Oh god, organic? Tap out. Let me know when you get to physics

If I do plastics & composites engineering, I'd have to do intro to Ochem, then move onto ploymer chemistry.

Because music that is pleasing to the ears tends to follow mathematical patterns.

EDIT: Haha after I replyed I read your next post which basically said the same thing :embarassed:

The question here becomes pleasing to who's ears? Yes all music will follow a mathematical pattern but that does not make it pleasing to everybody. The mathematical pattern of some music just sounds like random noises to my ears.
