I think it would be a welcome addition if they did. I think it is safe to assume that most cars with this kit would spend their time on the road rather than track so I would think having a thermostat would be quite beneficial and set it apart from most other oil cooler kits

Did you wrap the motor in gold foil? I know the ceramic coating would retain most of the heat, but looking at the instructions and photos of others with the kit, the motors are wrapped in gold foil

PSA: Borg Warner hoses are bullshit, or I'm doing something massively wrong. The ones that were on the turbo when I got it were already split, the new ones I bought split almost immediately, and while removing them they just completely pull apart.

Could you post up some images?

I can honestly say I haven't had a single issue and I've had the hoses off a few times? Maybe you got unlucky ?

Oil Cooler Update:
Full-Race will be releasing the oil cooler shortly. They are telling me the pricing is going to be $650 and include the crash beam. I'll keep you guys informed as I know more and see some photos.

Thanks,
Eric

What if we already have the kit, and don't require a crash beam?

It's hot in Texas!

They revised the crash beam specifically for mounting a slightly different cooler than the kit was designed with initially. I believe they will be sending the bar out to current owners only as a replacement as a courtesy for those who purchased the kit with the "old" crash beam. I'll need to confirm but I'm pretty sure that is the case.

Wow, that is impressive! And not the good kind of impressive. I've had no issues but we personally run a different radiator and fan on our shop car, no issues even in 125 ambient. I'd definitely try to run some gold foil on the plastic and motor of the fan though, it should reduce any further damage. Perhaps tilt the radiator further forward as well?

Thanks,
Eric

Yeah. Let me tell you about losing all your oil when a hose fails. You definitely do not want that.
