HID Light Issue

So today I installed what I believe to be monogram headlights. I thought they were GT86 but the harness only had 6 wires. The new lights did not come with ballasts, bulbs or harness. So I also installed a OLM HID kit. The HIDs will turn on, but after about 15 seconds they begin to change color and then shut off. I can turn them back on immediately but after another 25 seconds they turn off. Is this the case of a bad relay? Bad wiring?

Disregard. Swapped my old ballasts with the new ones and they work fine. Not sure why. Also, my headlights are JDM because the cutoff is reversed. Not sure why they only had 6 wires though. Oh well!

might want to adjust the cutoff for the JDM lights. You might be blinding other drivers.

the JDM headlights were NOT designed to be used with driving on the right side of the road. please take them off since you are just making it more dangerous for yourself and others around you. for example, the sloped cut-off will be on the wrong side which will blind oncoming drivers as well as not illuminate the right side of the road where the road signs and pedestrians are.

Lol take them off? I have adjusted them. And the cutoff can be swapped. Plenty of people have done Gt86 lights on USDM twins. Chill. It's not the end of the world.

did you disassemble the headlights? as far as I know, that is the only way to swap the cut offs since it is a physical piece inside the projector. obviously it is not the end of the world, but how would you like it if someone was driving towards you with their high beams on? that is what it will look like for oncoming traffic if your cutoff is on the wrong side.

if you did correctly swap the cutoffs, then kudos to you and glad that you know about it rather than running it as it is.
