If it isn't some sort of malware, might be some weird cache issue...

Funky cache would make the most sense. I went so far as to run an nslookup from a DNS server in Belgium and then modify my hosts file for the same IP, but no luck.

Well, as predicted the Volvo is totaled. Although not official until the insurance company gets back to me after receiving the quote from one of their shops, the repair is $3,200 or 90% of value based on the shop calculation.
The good news if that is 90% of value, that's about what we paid for the car 3 years ago.

Thanks. SonHawk is mostly upset because he bought it for his Senior Class project in high school. Worked with a mechanic mentor to tune it up, replace some cosmetic parts that were broken, etc, so its his baby. Bloody thing looks almost new, well except for the ass end of it now.

Very rarely have I been in a situation where I haven't been able to take a nap. Napping locations have included:
* under oak trees in the middle of corn fields * in military jeeps * under my desk in offices * doctors offices (they wake me up) * while having an affair during the day in motel rooms (just seeing if anyone is pay-en attention) * airplanes * pulling off the road in CA .... till the car heats up - waking me * in front of a police station - safer there in some areas * many couches and beds ..... on days off * I don't wanna think about some of the other places humfrz |

Oh, I suggest ol @Dadhawk sell his FR-S to his son ...... and get that Buick he has been secretly eyeballing ...... he knows, the one with:
* auto transmission * 8 way, power, electric, vibrating, swivel seats * front, side and rear view cameras with collision avoidance systems * auto turn signal turn off * self driving * 4 door, with extra wide opening doors * curb feelers * extra cushy air ride * large print instrument cluster * GPS with "home" pre-programmed in * heated steering wheel, gear shift knob * fully automatic quad zone A/C and heater * extra bright headlights for night driving * gas/brake confusion lockout device ![]() humfrz |

Fun to set the climate control though! Simply push button on wheel and say "Set driver's temperature to 71" Car replies (in a rather sultry voice) "Setting drivers temperature to 71" Only way I can get a woman to do what I ask without even a little debate!

I'm not saying I don't. I've just been missing them since I woke up.
