Hello! Got the car Jan 24 with 9 miles. As of today, I have 1130 miles. I live 2 miles from work, ride a bike in the summer, so the miles will be low for years on this. Traded in my '09 Mazdaspeed 3 for this car. Don't miss the front wheel drive one bit. |

New buyer, price check
I'm a long time lurker here, this forum has been a fantastic source of info, thanks to all who participate.
After many (many) months of procrastinating and much back & forth deliberation (Toyota vs. /Suburu) I decided to go with the BRZ. I'm not a big fan of the BRZ's rear spoiler (would have preferred a "spoiler delete" option), however I liked the BRZ's redesigned front fascia as compared to the Toyota's, and I couldn't get past the 86's "suede" interior trim pieces (I'm too OCD not to be able to properly clean my dash and door panels). I believe I've ultimately received what's (for my region, South East Florida) a pretty good (?) deal, $26,490.00 "out the door"/all expenses docs, sales tax, etc. I'd appreciate any feedback on the pricing, I haven't purchased a new car in a very long time** and can't believe in the 21st century the auto buying experience still sometimes comes down to old school back & forth haggling. Itemized break down of the final $26,490 price is as follows: New 2017 BRZ Premium MSRP: $26,741 Discounted price: $23,587.50 Dealer fee (common w/ most SE Florida dealers): $799.00 Doc fees (title, new tag, registration, etc.): $610.00 6% local sales tax: $1493.50 Out the door (added together all of the above): $26,490.00 (**My last new car purchase was 25 years ago; my 1991 Miata purchased new in late Summer '91 for $13.8 out the door, I kept it drove it & truly enjoyed it until I sadly said goodbye to the vehicle in 2013. RIP.) |

Just joined up today. I bought this purty little white 2015 series.blue about a year ago and have been loving it. Decided to join the forums so I can do some research on upgrades a little easier. I plan on doing either a Ptuning turbo setup with the water/meth injection or slapping an Edelbrock supercharger kit on it. Either direction I go I will also put in a beefier clutch and upgrade the brakes.

Hello all. I have been lurking around these forums since 2013 because of my passive obsession with these cars. Couple of months ago I bought a 2015 limited with only 4600miles. So far I am extremely happy and am going to start the track prep process. I don't plan to do anything more than a mild prep, but we will see what I can be talked into.
My background is in engineering in the automotive industry. I do work directly for an OEM, but I am not sure if I want to say which one yet 😉. Regardless, look forward to my stay.
