2017 BRZ wait time

Just special-ordered a limited with performance package. Dealer told me 10-12 weeks. Just got an email saying the estimated arrival will be the last week of August (19 weeks from now).

Someone please tell me I won't be waiting 19 weeks...

Well... they first have to make a Scion FRS, paint it and badge it. It's only then the Subaru engineers are allowed near it, they are offered the challenge to convert the FRS into a BRZ but they're not given any help hence it takes 19 weeks to find all FRS badges/referencing and replace with BRZeee stuff.

Enjoy the wait as it makes the end reward all the better and also enjoy your free time as when you get her you'll soon begin your quest to "improve" it.. which will occupy all of your free time..

That's a whole new area for procrastination... "do I wait for the 2018 or buy the current model?". I don't think the 2018 will come or if it does it won't be what we know and love.. 'It's Life, Jim, but not as we know it'.

I ordered my BRZ in March and got an e-mail the next day saying the end of May. I just called Subaru yesterday and they said it should arrive 2nd week of May. So hopefully your experience is the same where the e-mail gives you the worst case scenario but it actually arrives sooner.

It seems to be taking about two months or less. That is very low. I waited almost 4 months. Spike on here waited like 40 years.

Mine took exactly six weeks from order to delivery (two weeks ago) after an initial forecast of nine. Of course, there are less than two miles of land between my dealership and Japan. Inland delivery (to Chicago) might well take longer, but surely not 13 weeks.

You may want to do an inventory search on Cars.com. My dealer in Northern California said a new order would be 6-8 weeks, but I found a car in transit to a dealer in Southern California that is due to arrive the first week of May. Getting it for $300 below invoice, too!

Don't you feel bad taking $300 from the car dealer?

search cargurus for the color you want, frankly there's nothing else to pick all PP are limited. So what color are you wanting? I just bought mine off the lot then shipped it to me.

That was the initial offer from their internet department. I assume they have volume incentives that offset the low price. I'm not complaining.

I ordered my BRZ w/PP mid November and received it exactly on schedule at the end of January. There is a whole thread of us tracking the delivery of the 2017s with performance package.
