This weekend, I finally installed my Tomei EL header, Tomei overpipe, and Invidia catless front pipe that's been sitting in my garage since the first of the year. My son helped me with the header wrap. It sure was a lot easier with two people. And wearing gloves is highly recommended. So, we found out... Also flashed OFT Stage 2 EL for 93 octane. I already had the Invidia N1, and damn it's really loud now!

We could definitely feel the increase in gains and headed straight for some under passes just for the added effects. My son also couldn't wait to get behind the wheel and try it out himself. All he could say was "Wow, what a difference!"

Now, I just need to find some time to install my transmission cooler. Maybe, I can get to it before the Annual FT86 Day in Dallas...

EDIT: So there are the pics. Some are from the night of, some are from the day I dropped it for repair, and one of the fixed results.

Basically, was coming to a stop at a 4-way intersection (stop signs), preparing to turn left, and someone behind me thought it was cool to just swerve out into the oncoming traffic's lane (which is on my left) to blow through the intersection as I was making my left turn. Nose of their car went full on into my front left corner, T-bone style, and then our sides scraped as he kept his foot planted and took off. Just shy of $4k to fix it. No airbags thankfully, though the car freaked out and shut off the nannies and ABS controls after the hit. The slip light and the ABS light stayed on solid until maybe the second time I started the car several days later, then they were gone. Car seems to be driving fine.
...and that's why we all need dash cams.

Installed SPC rear toe arms, so now I can get a proper alignment. Also decided to install my Perrin front endlinks, since I had it up on stands.

After last week I'm like the evangelical dashcam preacher. Mine saved me $1800 and is going to put the other guy in jail for a few days. I kinda want one for my rear view too now

after getting screwed because of my age i bought a dash cam now looking for one in the rear as well, 200 bucks to save you a couple thousand is well worth it if you ask me. I almost don't feel safe driving without it

Installed OEM Subaru BRZ red footwell lights. I could've saved some money by splicing or using a fuse adaptor to a couple LED strips but the simplicity and quality of OEM part was worth the cost. Had it done a in a few minutes.
The hardest part was: reconnecting the wiring harnesses to the factory headunit (not a lot of slack & small hands would help).

To a point, yes, but since this all occurred on my left side, there wouldn't have been anything visible on video of the car that hit and ran, just getting to see my car suddenly stop going left and shoved toward the curb. I'd still be out my deductible because there's no other party to ID. Now if they were trying to somehow call into question whether I had the right of way to turn before a car behind me had any business driving through the intersection in the opposing traffic's lane, maybe a dash cam might serve to bring them back into the realm of logic and reality.

All that said, I do very much agree that a dash cam is needed. It's been in the works for some time, just didn't have it in time for the car's first unpleasant experience.

Replaced the cylinder 1 coil pack (P0351). This is the second time I've done it and somehow I managed to take longer this time around. A few cut knuckles but all worth it in the end with the car running well.

The only thing left now is fresh brake pads and fluid and cleaning the K&N filter, and I should be ready for this track season.
