Only way to stay awake for me. Once I'm done with this batch, I'll try fruit infused water since I ordered a bottle. I just have to look up the recipes.

Yeah, the splitter and diffuser really won't have much of an effect with my car since I don't track it. I just like the way they look (the Velox ones). |

There's a lot of cans everywhere! Lol I only have the velox one as a scrap protector. It was the only one on the market that I didn't need to drill holes for. :X Eventually it will hit the tracks. Just need a few more upgrades to make it track ready.

If homemade fruit-infused water actually tastes more fruity then I might check that out. |

Also another reason why I liked the Velox stuff. Pretty much bolt on.

Another reason why I wouldn't buy the DevSport "splitter" in addition to warping on a hot day...contacted them via their website's "contact us" section last Thursday and still never received a reply back. Once it hits 3 business days and no reply, it raises red flags about the company for me. Imagine if you needed customer support from them had you purchased one of their products...

Got a response from the manufacturer regarding that rust on the top of my rear shocks near the adjustment knobs:
"Looks like it is being splashed with water under normal use, and this will not impair anything. For your knowledge the shock bodies are Steel 52-3 material. This is a construction steel which is the best strength wise. Bodies are coated with a KTL coating, this is a coating also used by BMW as a base coating for all there chassis as a anti-corrosion coating."

Ever since I got my first alignment back in late 2013, my steering wheel has been slightly "off" in the sense that it has to be pointed slightly to the right in order to go straight down the road. If I center the wheel, the car starts to steer slightly to the left.
The car tracked straight and true, didn't pull in either direction, it was just the steering wheel that is now slightly "off" so I just lived with it. Didn't affect the performance of the car at all. Anyway, I had another alignment in December, complete with the thing that they do on the rack with the "steering angle sensor calibration/TCS calibration" and afterward, the wheel was still slightly off and had to be pointed to the right in order to go straight. Again, not really a big deal because the car still tracked fine. Today I took the car out for a drive and noticed its pulling slightly to the right. I guess I need another alignment? Strange since I just had one in December. Is there some specific thing I can have the alignment shop check in order to get the steering wheel back the way it was when I fist got the car?

Just ask them to center the wheel. They usually get the wheels straight then undo it from the steering rack, center the wheels, and reattach. Just had mine fixed today actually after swapping steering wheels

OK, thanks, I will ask them to "center the wheel" when I go. Not sure why the last two times they couldn't "center the wheel", but whatever.
I'll probably try a new shop this time. Edit: Any idea what could cause the drifting to the right? Alignment off already after only 1k miles?

A good shop should do it automatically but others wont car unless you specifically ask usually since its a bit more work. But it is kind an eyeball thing so could just be a little extra play lead to it being a bit off still

Here's the sheet from the first alignment I had done on the FR-S: ![]() They had corrected the steer ahead spec to 0* and that centered the steering wheel. I'm having the same issue as you with the Yaris. Car tracks straight, but the steering wheel is slightly pointed to the right. I'll see if I can have an alignment done next week or so, so that I can finally order those wheels and tires. haha |
