I generally agree with you, however I come from a superbike background and pretty much want an affordable motorbike with airbags and doors :P I felt as a daily driver it lacked the oomph. Getting up to 80/100km/h on the Main roads here it felt like it was making a lot of noise but not getting anywhere. And it's hard to argue with almost every person that I've seen review a force inducted BRZ/86 and loved it with a huge grin on their face. I would probably be happy with an unaltered modified as my daily, for a while, but then I probably wouldn't be able to justify dropping the dollars for FI. |

Its also got a lot of aesthetic mods done on it (no rocket bunny thankfully) and he's spent a lot of money on the internals too, like apparently 6k AUD on the sound system, forward and reverse Dashcams etc. Not something I could ever justify lol. |

It's one of those "if you ask the question you wouldn't understand the answer" posts.
Do your research. See monstrosities that pimply youths call builds and think if you would really want to buy one? |

While I generally agree with you, this made me chuckle. While it may not need boost.... that is the most cost effective way to make this engine a performer, so.... it kinda needs boost.

While I generally agree with you this made me chuckle...it doesn't need boost..the most effective way to make this engine perform is not to be chickenshit..so doesn't need boost or simple statements of opinions as fact......

A performer in what way? The car definitely does not need boost for the majority of the things people do with the twins, yet I see more and more locally boosted twins that only go to cars and coffees and do burn outs in parking lots. So yeah, guess you NEED boost for that. Or, cars are put together so haphazardly that the only classes they qualify for are classes that are way out of their leagues.

If you need more power buy a different car. The handling characteristics are what these cars are about. If you want straight line speed get a 'Vette or something. I just don't get people bashing the power of these cars. If you drove one before buying and weren't happy with the car why did you even buy it with so many other faster cars to choose from. |

If the car came with a factory turbo, more people wouldn't have been able to afford it though, so that would eliminate a lot of the young bucks who can't drive buying it, I guess. Fwiw, I've never been in a situation where I was driving and screamed out "I NEED MORE POWER TO DO (insert thing here)" and I highly doubt you have, either. |
