Well, losing a day off the last week of this month. We we just told about a mandatory training. So since I'll be in Sac on the 26th, if I get out in time, maybe I'll swing by DevSport (if they allow that) and check out their front splitter.

My BRZ is sitting outside. Fortunately not under any trees, but stuff is still gonna find its way in there from the wind/rain.

It's large debris like leaves that I worry about.

Hopefully the 2017 tails has a better gasket design.

Well, I sealed it to the tail light using that crazy strong 3M adhesive, and I let it cure/set for 24 hours. I checked the bead before installing them and everything appeared to be air/water tight.

I did have to remove and remount the lights a few times because I was not happy with the flushness of the left tail light. In removing them, the gasket was already stuck to the paint just from pressure, so I'm sure it pulled on the 3M seal I had made on the other side due to the suction pressure. But, I inspected it and it seemed to be holding, but who really knows.

All that being said, I don't fully believe that the 17 tails are "vented" in the same way that the 13-16s are. There are no bulbs to replace, so it doesn't have to be user serviceable. There also is what feels like a butyl rubber gasket around where the wires enter the unit, so I believe these lights will not be prone to the same condensation issues that the earlier lights had.

Of course, only time will tell!

Very true about not having to be serviced. That's crazy how it made that tight of a seal!

YAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!

I'm thinking the first one would be better for the driveways, but the second one may look better with the spoiler.

Pass for now, me thinks.
Honestly it's to keep leaves and stuff out of your trunk. I forgot about this part. I'll ask, it's kinda big, and might crack in his luggage.

Yeah, it does look good, but it's kinda hard to visualize what it would look like when installed. I wonder if there's any pictures of it installed or if it's too new.

I like how it continues the two "fangs/teeth" down and extends them into CF like that.

Yeah, that's true. It's kinda long and awkward. I just ordered mine online last night from FT86SF.

Holy leaves Batman!

Also, I changed my mind about the DevSport splitter after reading reviews that it will warp on a really hot day. F that. I'll just save up for a Velox front splitter.

Separate question

Anyone bought from Gruppe-S before? Like straight from the seller on the forums?
