WTB BRZ

looking to buy a BRZ. preferably WRB or white, but I am open to other colors. I am located in Des Moines, Iowa so the closer to here the better. I will travel but I don't want to travel a ridiculous amount.

Looking for something that's pretty much stock, maybe with wheels and coilovers but that's pretty much it. Or I'll buy your turbo'd one (probably not but you never know, it would save me some money) car must be manual. Preferably a 'limited' version as well.

Let me know what you have, thanks guys!

Good luck to you! Hold out for the one you want! But don't be afraid to grab a buddy and make a road trip out of getting it.

haha well thank you!! yeah its looking like I may have to travel for one, theres nothing really close to me. I am really wanting a 2017 as I like the new bumper, and lights but with the depreciation of these cars it makes me not want to buy a new one.

I know what you mean. When I was looking for my BRZ there where only 2 MT cars in the whole state and they were 2013 models. And this BRZ would be my first 'sporty' car and eventually was my first new car. Like you I knew exactly what I wanted... something 'special'. So I had to buy my car in Seattle and ship the car up here. I plan on keeping it for the foreseeable future, my last 2-3 cars where given up with 120K+ on the clocks. So I'm ok with the 'depreciation' on the car. Just find a good deal (I got mine under invoice) and put enough money down so you will never be upside down on the car, and it doesn't take much. Just be smart about the purchase and you will never regret it.

how much did you end up getting it for if you don't mind me asking? Did they have one on the lot that you wanted? Yeah I have a little to put down, nothing crazy though but I will try to do that if I cannot find one I am looking for used

So I knew that I wanted a 2017 with the Performance Pack. I preferred a Series Yellow if I could. So I started looking around. In the Seattle area there are 5 Subaru dealerships. And a few of them had the Series Yellow available (MSRP ~$31,000) but Subaru of Puyallup had most of their BRZs already marked down to Invoice. Have a look.

http://www.subaruofpuyallup.com/new-...ory/index.htm?
search=&model=BRZ

When I contacted them they said the Series.Yellow shouldn't have been but whatever.

So here's where you can get some savings. If you have owned a Subaru before Call SOA and ask for a Loyalty Coupon. They will send one to your dealer of choice which takes off an additional $500 off the final price. I did mine after the fact since I was rushing the deal to make it time for the next boat, so SOA sent me a check for $500. So that's how I got my car for $500 under invoice. In Washington dealer fees are $150 and in Alaska there is no Sales tax (at the moment) so OTD my Series.Yellow was $28,900 before I put 12% down on the car.

Another thing to consider if you can't find a local deal around invoice or don't want to travel to one that does and don't mind waiting more (6 mo). Join a group that has access to the Subaru VIP Program like IMBA. You can join for $35 and after 6 months you qualify for the VIP Purchase program which sends your dealer a Certificate from SOA telling them to sell you a vehicle at invoice.

The only dealer 'close' to you that I know usually gives killer deals (especially) to forum members is Heuberger Subaru: http://www.bestbuysubaru.com/
I don't know if Clint is still there but here is a quote he gave me in Jan for a 2017 with PP:
MSRP - $29,660
Invoice Price - $28,131
Forum Exclusive Price - $27,277
Total Price Including $489 Dealer Handling $27,766

...That's all I have to contribute... besides to say try to finance with a local credit union.
