I remember doing the same thing trying to get my Perrin muffler tips to sit even. It was a huge pain and a lot of shoving, but I eventually got it. Of course they're crooked again after all of this lol. I'll give it some more work.

For the startup, I'm guessing I'm having the same issue as the guy here.

I'm going to switch leave the stock MAP sensor in and try starting on the stock tune. If that works, I'll probably end up just driving very carefully to my tuner on Friday. I'm on a time crunch, and I haven't been able to make heads or tails of how to get the FMB MAP sensor and basemap working, either from asking FBM or reading forum posts.

That would definitely improve my day. I gave OpenFlash a call (no answer) and shot them an email. Do you know if that's the best way to reach him?

Did you contact fullblown to make sure your tune does have the correct MAP sensor programmed? Also make sure the pipe coming up from the intercooler going into your MAF tube is strait as all hell, Im talking about where its a 2.5 to 3 step up.

1 other note. From fullblown they have you share the tap brake booster line for your wastegate and your blow off valve. Only use this for your BOV. Buy an easy quick tap and tap one of your rubber intercooler elbows clamps with this and run your wastegate directly to this Barb instead. You don't want a wastegate source prior of the throttle body. The rubber elbow directly out of the turbo inlet is a good source if you don't feel like tapping your turbo Inlet housing.

Never run this stock EcuTek map on a forced induction BRZ. Not unless you're trying to blow it up. The car won't understand boost.

The issue ended up being that my injector control ECU wasn't grounded. Once we secured it, the car started up right away.

During the process of troubleshooting, we returned the tune, MAP sensor, and injectors back to stock. Once we had the car running, I opted to drive the car to my tuner in this state while simply staying under boost. This was a bit nerve-racking, but it's definitely doable if you're careful.

Regarding the OFT, Shiv offered to sell me a new one at a lower price than msrp if I sent my my tablet in to them. This really isn't what I need right now, unfortunately.

Aside from an oil leak that I need to hunt down, the car is tuned and runs great.

The breather tank I got arrives today. I went with a universal one that seems pretty quality.

https://www.amazon.com/Allstar-Perfo...dp/B003C0173E/

I want to make sure I connect it properly though. I've seen a lot of different configurations, and it seems like doing it wrong could have some dire consequences.

I have a couple disconnected hoses right now. One leads to the PCV valve, and the other is a breather tube for the crank case. Can I simply connect both of these to the breather tank bungs?

Leave your intake manifold capped like you have and run the "bullshit breather" and "down to pcv" lines to your catch. Same setup as I have.

You wouldn't happen to remember the sizes of your hoses and fittings, right? Did you use a check valve at any point?

It seems like I should be using 11/32 ID tubing to the PCV side. I'm having some trouble finding an 11/32 OD barb fitting for the catch can though, so I'm wondering if a 3/8 barb would work.

The crank case side is a complete mystery to me. It seems like some catch cans that are made for the BRZ/FR-S include an adapter that connects the existing hose to a 1/2 ID hose. I don't know what size I would need if I removed the hose that is already on there, but it looks like a nightmare to reach down to the bottom of it.

Off the top of my head no, it was so long ago. It was a fucking mess and I did have trouble matching up though, I remember that much. I'll look down there tomorrow and take a picture for you and maybe that will ring some bells.

As far as the check valve goes, you don't need one being that you're venting to atmosphere. The reason folks use a check valve in that line is because the stock pcv valve is a piece of shit and doesn't stop boosted air that travels from the intake manifold. It goes right past the pcv valve and into the crankcase. You have that pathway capped and blocked off so no need for one. In fact, I don't even have a pcv valve because it's useless in a VTA setup. Just a straight through barbed fitting sits there now.

You are 100% correct about the crackcase PCV check valve, You can find a barb at your local ACE hardware or Home Depot in the plumping section if you need it now. it'll be brass but it works perfectly. just bring your PCV with you so you can thread match. I don't remember off of the top of my head.

I had 2 oil leaks in my adventure.

1) was PCV check causing pressure not to escape from the engine block and it was making its own path out of my oil pans turbo oil return threads. Fullblown oil pan - Fixed

2) Brass fitting used to split the oil pressure sensor and turbo oil feed. I ended up getting a gallery plug for the block next to the AC and removing the T and WALA! no more leaks. run you finger around you T fitting and check it out. - fixed

When I say I had a leak it was small, very small. But a leak is a leak.

3/8 NPT is the threading, I used a vibrant -10AN to 3/8 adapter fitting. I had to do a lot of fandangling to get everything set up...I'll have to get a picture tomorrow it's pretty comical actually.

My feed is at the pressure sender too and I've had problems with it seeping in the past. It's been fine since my last re-tighten. I hope to step up to a gt28 one day and when I do I'm going to use that same galley you're using.

Just finished my FBM Stage 2 build. I've posted a few things on here but mainly are on IG and FB. Pretty much everything that can go with their kit has been installed. I trusted my car to be tuned with Steve @ PRT Performance and it has been ROCK SOLID with multiple maps. Not sure how to load some pictures on here to the thread so that'll have to wait.
