Well shit I guess you better educate me on the "order in which your body breaks down things chemically," and tell me why I need to have bread and sugar in my diet.

Lucky duck. As mentioned earlier, when I'm at the girlfriend's, there's only one restaurant with lots of taps nearby. Everything else is about a 30 minute public transit trip.

At home, there are 2 breweries within 2 km of me, but they both kind of suck. I have something like 15 breweries that are at most 45 minute drives away, but they're all through some decent country roads so it's a nice excuse to take the car out. Though none of them have food, so that kind of sucks.

"The Chimes" in Baton rouge. GREAT beer selection (60 taps, I think?.. didn't quite get through all of'em), and raw oysters $12/dozen. AND.. it's only a 22 hour drive from me!

Their beer menu..

I'm hurt, none of you wished me a happy birthday, nor got me anything. Because that matters.

I have often wondered that if the car came with (a popular aftermarket brand) and the OEM wheels were the expensive aftermarket wheels, if some folks would pay to have them switched .......

Yes. Yes they would. Doesn't matter what they are if they are stock they will be changed.

NO sugar. Sugar is poison for your body basically (except that you do need some miniscule amounts). The process in which body your body burns fat is explained here: https://en.m.wikibooks.org/wiki/Prin...d_Glycogenesis Although it's a bit sciencey/technical to read. Long story short is that you need carbs to make insulin in order to break down fat so cutting out carbs is kind of BS. You should cut down on calories OVERALL and excercise regulary.

I used to see that around town all the time especially with the German cars. They rolled around with those $1000 bucks Chinese chrome rims instead cuz shinny.

I have cut down on calories overall...how else do you think I've lost weight?

By eating fewer carbs (not zero, I still eat green vegetables, nuts, and seeds daily) my insulin levels drop and ketone levels rise. This leads to more fat breakdown, and by cutting out a large source of calories I am able to put more protein and fat into my diet, leaving me more satiated by meals.

It's pretty basic science really...

I think we need to change the rules to say no guns, politics or diets allowed to be discussed. Diet debates can be the very worst of all of them since for every single "study" or "fact" there is a counter "study" or "fact" that says the total opposite.

So I put my summer tires back on my car this past weekend. Every spring it's like getting a new car again.

That and the roadwork finished on my alternate route home from work. It's nice to drive through a state park instead of on the interstate. Adding fifteen minutes to my commute doesn't bother me since I'm actually moving.
