wheels, tires, and tpms

I am thinking of getting 17 x 8 oz ultraleggeras. I was wondering if 235/45/17 tires would be good for the wheels. and also would me not reprogramming the new tpms affect the speedometer?

TPMS has nothing to do with the speedometer - the worst that will happen is you get an annoying yellow light in the left lower quadrant of your dash.

Should be fine. I run 235s on my 8.5" wheels. Would recommend a 235/40 instead though to mantain the same ratio as stock

235/40 would keep stock diameter on an 18" wheel. OP will be running 17's so 45 will maintain stock diameter.

I'm going the same route with the OZ's and 225/17 but haven't decided on the 7.5 or 8's. I'll go to Subaru to have them sync the TPMS though. Nothing worse than an idiot light that's on all of the time. Doesn't the 235 plus the 8 give you some poke? Is it an inch?
