Heh. That would be nice but I'm definitely not able to take a bumper off myself.

I'm making you

I thought about getting that too, but then moved into a house. Another function was to help keep debris out of the channels, rights?

I know you don't want a front lip, but you should get a front splitter! Would look great with the aero fins and spoiler.

Zip tie the brackets onto the lower grill, and bolt on the plate. Then snip off when you want (like photoshoots or something), and zip back on after.

Offset front license plates annoys my OCD. When I put the plates back onto the Yaris after detailing it, I made sure all of the screws were oriented as +. lol.

That's an interesting idea. I'll think that one over.

The idea of offset front license plates is good. I like it.

But I think I feel the same as you. I hate how it throws off the symmetry of the front of the car.

My last 3 cars all didn't have front plates and I have never gotten a ticket for it (knock on wood). I have been pulled over a couple of times, but have gotten warnings. YMMV of course

I drove from San Jose to SF (the suburb-y part) today for my commute to avoid Caltrain - still needed to park and ride Muni. It was pretty nice not being stuck in a stuffy train full of sick people who cough on you without covering their mouths, haha.

Can I just order them online then and just wait till they arrive?

That is probably true. I'd assume they'd want to get the people that do stuff to deserve being pulled over.. haha.

Ah, I see. It's certainly a tempting option.. Hm.

You can't recieve them til you get your normal ones, but you can order now. It takes so long to get them you'll have your regular plate well in advance (unless the dmv miraculously takes less time now lol).

I ordered online about a month before. Alreadybhad my regular plates when they finally arrived about 3 months later.

Ahhh. So that'll happen to me (getting my plates from my parents' place tonight) since I haven't even ordered yet, lol.

Did you just put the regular plates on till the custom ones arrived? I also thought I had heard that you can ask the DMV to extend the dealership sticker thing that covers you not having plates yet.
