Will I qualify for financing a FRS

I guess its all about how much the joy of owning the car is worth to you.

Curious what the interest rate OP got was.

I bought this car at 21 and got a 2.9% rate with no co-signer and 2k down. Financing the car was fine, but insurance was such a bitch. Was $480 a month for insurance, now its down to $220 (25yo now).

I bought my first car at age 18 and paid $200 cash. No insurance cost because it was classified as a farm vehicle. I drove it till I was out of college (age 23). That made the cost of ownership (outside of gas, tires etc.) about $40 per year. Never could afford new wheels ..... I just painted the rims and put on port-a-walls .....

Got my frs at 24 from old lady friend of the family, no down payment, basically took over payments but kept the car on her name until I finished paying it off so I didn't have to get financing. I paid $500/month for about 3 years plus about $250 insurance on a 30k salary. It was tough but I managed and its worth every dime I spent.

Not to mention the smile it puts on my face every morning, that's priceless.

Yea I did. I looked at it this way, it would have been very difficult for me to get this car on my own I would never put down +5k on a car, I would get a cheap car instead so when I got the chance to get it I took it because I didn't have to put down a lot of money... plus when I saw the car i was sold I freaking love it!
