Started the detailing process on the Yaris (and first time I'm washing). Swirl marks for daaaaaaaays! I'm almost done clay barring the entire car, and will work on paint correction tomorrow since I don't have work lights. My arms are going to be dead tomorrow (don't have a DA)!

It's hard to say since I can't really compare it to any other car and just learning stick with it.. But there were times, like in a flat area, in the beginning when it would start stalling even going 3-5 mph. At least shuddering quite a bit. Could just be my footwork too. (shrug)

Yeah, think so haha. I can get moving usually without gas from a stop in 1st, but if the car slows down to about 8 mph or less at any point it starts shuddering and the intensity grows as it decreases further. By then rpms are close to 500-800 or so too.

I think you should have someone who's been driving a manual twin for a while drive your car, so you can observe how they drive it and what shift points they use, when they clutch in, etc. Shrug.

This whole thing mostly doesn't happen anymore. It's most common right now like my post from last night, when I'm coming to a stop in 2nd and then need to start getting it going before a complete stop. But that's likely just from me not giving it enough gas. ![]() That'd definitely be helpful. I actually don't have that particular issue so much now. Just mentioning that when in the beginning when I was going slow in that situation that would happen and I didn't really understand why. Now that's not so much an issue since I understand slipping the clutch and stuff. |

With the summer coming I'm trying to find the perfect place to park at work. What is better...
Parking under a shady tree with the risk of possible sap/branches falling on the car or Leaving the car sitting in the beaming sun all day long? My car is red so I worry about paint fading. |
