Do you think it would work?

Hey guys I have a hypothetical for you.

I got the extended warranty...

If I were to due something that voids the warranty, Ex... tune/SC/fluids outside warranty ect.. and something goes wrong...
Do you think I could just change my car back to stock and bring it in and "get away" with it?

Like how would that scenario play out?

SIDE QUESTION..
Does anyone know what voids warranty? lol I've been trying to find a document of this for days.

Never put sugar in your gas tank as an additive or put salt in your eye. The first will definitely void the warranty and the second one hurts like a mother.

I think it depends on what you break.
They will void your warranty if your aftermarket parts have show direct effect on your damage item.
For example, couple months ago, I took my car back to dealership because of my axle nut problem. It was fully covered under warranty despite the fact I have aftermarket coilover, LCA, etc.

Easy. Find a friend who has a stock car, put your broken part into it, have the dealer repair the problem, swap new part back to yours.

Just FYI, anytime you wrench on a vehicle, there be obvious evidence, even if you replace the OEM parts.

If you mod and it breaks something pay the bill yourself. I don't want to be paying for guys that break things and then scam Toyota.
If you mod and something breaks that isn't a result of the mod then why bother changing back to stock since it isn't related?

Warranties are for things that break on a car that remains stock as designed not for people that screw with things and cause their own issues.

Why don't you just cancel the extended warranty? Sell it back to Toyota and pocket the cash.

the fluid thing isnt a 100% warranty void, infact, especially in a Manual Transmission Toyota has said publicly that their gear oil can cause clunky and wonky conditions and suggest users change it for better operation, some dealerships go as far as to suggest switching to Motul Gear Oil 300

Well... What you're describing is warranty fraud. However, some dealers go out of their way to deny warranties because *something* on the car was modified, whether it was related to the failure or not. So, it's a never ending battle. If you have an engine failure but have only modified suspension/brakes, technically it's unrelated. BUT, the dealer might argue you have modified parts and are racing the car harder than intended from the factory.. so, voided claim. I know it's bullshit, but it's not entirely unfeasible, and that gray area is where different dealers will react differently. An "unmodified" car isn't indestructible after all...

Ultimately, don't modify something unless you're willing to assume risk of paying for repairs should something go pop. Nothing is guaranteed. On that same note, don't get wrapped up in paranoia, just don't get in over your head mod-wise.
