Just mentioning that Q300 is actually not quiet at all after a year, after all the cheap fiberglass inside has burned off. Mine now sounds like an empty tin can - VERY loud, with plenty of rasp and blat. If you wanna buy a loud, broken-in Q300 system I'll be selling mine cheap!

Does anyone know what kind of material is in the resonator of the JDL ultraquiet front pipe? If it's something that will last, I will likely replace my JDL front pipe with the ultraquiet version. But if it's just fiberglass in there that's going to burn off in a year, it wouldn't be worth it.

Any catback with a single large muffler will accomplish your goals.
I had the same exhaust setup you currently have. Catless header with a Nameless catted front pipe and the stock exhaust. With this I noticed that the car had tremendous amounts of rasp, and only sounded good in the low RPMs. It sounded like my stock muffler was getting overloaded from how high flow the rest of my exhaust was. I thought the fix would be to cut the stock resonator from the stock catback. This made the car sound so bad I was too ashamed to even take a video to share it with anyone. I ended up getting the Greddy Supreme SP catback and it compliments the other exhaust parts very nicely. I think this exhaust is about as quiet as the Q300. These are the catbacks I'd be looking at: 1. CSG/MXP exhaust 2. Greddy Supreme SP 3. Invidia Q300 4. Perrin 2.5" resonatede 5. Miltek Sport |
