The car just can't keep it's rear planted over bumps and the suspension is working double time as a result. the 13 should have never come with the dampeners it did, subaru did us a huge disservice in peformance and longevity.

I believe you’ll find that “damper” is only ever used as a noun. Whereas dampening is used as the verb for damper.

Sorry, you are incorrect. Although I have made those and other mistakes before, just not this time.


The confusion between their, there, and they're occurs because the three words are pronounced in very similar ways. If the word means "belonging to them," as in the synonyms for damper and dampener we use their. If you're able to replace the word with "they are," use they're. Otherwise, there is only one correct answer: There, got it?

Saw the yellow edition at the Atlanta Car show today. It is very yellow, particularly the interior trim bits. I like my 2013 silver a lot but this yellow could tempt me to be unfaithful.

Also saw the 2018 Impreza the one built on new global platform. Interior is nice for an entry level car. The seats in the leather trim were impressive for Subaru. My wife and I liked them better than the leather in the Forester. But nowhere near as nice as the Alacantra seats in my BRZ

I have another question, this time re: the "big" Brembo brake package. I've just realized that every spec sheet I've found list the rotors as being the same size as the standard brakes. That being 294mm (11.600") front 290mm (11.4") rear. Is this true?
Every photo I see sure makes the Brembo rotors look larger but, might just be an optical illusion due to the size of the calipers.

A question for people who have bought a Series Yellow. Did your car come with wheel locks or if you got a set were they an added extra cost?
My wife's 2016 STi came with locks installed. I see some photos with them installed on the BRZ's but other photos not.

If you want wheel locks bad enough I am sure there are a million people who would ship them for shipping cost (including me). They throw those fugly things on damn near every twin they sell and try to sneak them in the pricetag.

My Series.Yellow came with wheel locks. And the interior lighting kit, annoyingly. With being a super limited edition however, you're not really going to have much choice on the matter. Another nearby dealer had a Series.Yellow without these options added on, but they weren't willing to dealer trade it.
