Now, let me guess where THAT money went ......

Things like Gatorade for working in 110*F when we couldn't get to our trucks. Site specific PPE that my boss deemed we didn't need. Maintenance on vehicles. Recovery equipment for vehicles. Etc, etc.

Cash flow issues lol!

My old desk job each employee on my team had their own corporate credit card. To max out the card is to walk into a Porsche dealership and buy a new 911 Carrera, but we only used it for minor things. That was the computer company.

At the bank I worked where they were in the credit card business themselves, they never had such a setup. We had to pay out of pocket then expense it out.

Serious cash flow issues from what I understand. Everyone in my department was forced to use up all of their banked time off this winter. But, in fairness, my department probably had around $100k of banked overtime split between us, not sure if that's normal for a smaller company.

Certainly abnormal but not surprising either. Getting tough everywhere I presume.

If I get asked today why I'm applying for an entry level job being a seasoned vet I will just be frank and say I need to pay bills lol!

I should have mentioned my department is 5 people, my boss would be the sixth, lol

I couldn't imagine starting from scratch at a new company. I got a job offer from a similar/semi competing company, but I'd be bottom of the totem pole, I'd have taken a 4,000 dollar pay cut, and no company truck. Had to decline that one.

Currently getting an oil change on the FRS. Got my oil changed and a free battery replacement. So maybe Toyota doesn't suck at this whole service thing.

Though I did have to remind them multiple times to not touch anything other than what I specifically asked for.

What a lot of people don't realize is that the only difference between paying with a "corporate" card that has your name on it, and paying out of pocket is that your employer has the ability to pay your corporate card directly. Ultimately though, based on the user agreement, you are responsible for paying the bill on either.

Basically the company is a "cosigner" on the company card, but you are primary. If the company fails to pay the card in a timely fashion it can (and eventually will) impact YOUR credit score if you care about such things.

For example AMEX will report the delinquency against your credit score after about 6 months of non or late payment. In addition, they will charge you a late payment fee each month that you are ultimately responsible for paying. Note the wording in this article towards the end that talks about this very thing. Just the language from the quoted AMEX rep makes it very clear its your responsibility to get the card paid.

I personally have never accepted a corporate card from my employers. I will also not make large expense charges on their behalf (although I will do small incidental charges during travel).

I have worked for some large companies that had "firm" policies on this that all gave way when I refused loud enough and explained why I wasn't going to loan them money for them to conduct their business.

Now at an hour and 25 minutes for this oil change. They must be confused about how to remove and reinstall the battery now.

That's actually kind of scary. I have a company AMEX and the amounts owed can be in the triple digits some months. Of course that's for all of them together I'm just one card/user but still I don't want be on the hook for shit my credit is excellent.

Sucks to be them. I'm at stock engine and stock tune. Well, except for an air filter.

Edit: looking at my receipt, it says the dealer checked functionality of my horn. I pulled the fuse from my horn about a month ago and forgot to replace it until seeing the receipt. Weird.
