Gotarheels03's Halo White 16' FR-S

Picked up my 2016 Halo FR-S on 8/23/2016 from Toyota of Conshohocken, so I'm right at 6 months of ownership so far. Previous car was a 2007 Mazda 6

I don't expect to do much to this car beyond what I would do with any car I've owned. That means basically, brakes, wheels and tires.

Those mods are pretty much done I think. Bought a set of Rota Slipstreams to make use of brand new RS-3 v2's I had sitting around waiting to go on the Mazda. Bought a set of 949 Racing 6UL's to make use of the stock primacy tires and throw winters on the ugly stock wheels

I have a few small odd and ends I'd like to try out. A radium master cylinder brace and Perrin steering lockdown kit. I have a Tanabe overpipe waiting to be installed, front pipe will stay stock as I don't want the car to be too loud.

This is my 1st RWD car since I first started driving at 16. 1st car was an 86 Pontiac Fiero SE with the 2.8L V6 my grandpa built from junkyard sourced parts.

Had a Tanabe overpipe and Perrin steering rack lockdown installed last week, and got the stock primacy's mounted to some Tungsten 6UL's. The slight stretch onto a 17x8 really helps the stock tires out. They still don't have great grip, but they're better than I thought they were when I 1st got the car.

I would've preferred the Perrin Overpipe, but the Tanabe was ~$150 shipped. Haven't noticed any added NVH from the Perrin lockdown so far.

Thanks! Photos kinda suck, since I used my phone and the sun washed out the pics.

Would love to do an HPDE day with an instructor one of these days. Maybe after the 3yr / 36k mile warranty is up. Pocono Raceway isn't far away.
