Night Eye LED Low Beam and High Beam Light Demo
I have recorded a small demo showing the Night Eye performance @ 6500K white. The lights do bleed over as seen in the video, The Low beams are set to number 1 setting on the Toyota 86 GT instrument panel. In High beams projects in a 120+ degree direction, which is not a bad thing but more of a instance when other drivers do come towards you then turn them off lol.
The manual does say you can twist the LEDS in a horizontal rotation, but i don't think the model I got can do that. I am very happy spending $70 on a kit that from what I understand speaking to the local shops - it costs $70 just to get two Halogen White bulbs (Phillips) and they are 3500+ color temperature. Wow. That is an absolute trash output. There is a crazy amount of glare, and there's no chance you aren't blinding everyone while you're driving.
This is what a proper output is supposed to be:

Dont know why you are getting the CANBUS add-on......I did NOT need one with my LED Headlights
https://www.amazon.com/CougarMotor-H.../dp/B01H6NZ7D8 But anything is possible with stuff from Night Eyes (not a company I would even consider buying from)

OP I think the lights look great and this was a very cool project where you got to learn/troubleshoot LED headlights, but the fact is these headlights will blind people as LEDs simply can't cast light through a Xenon projector like an actual xenon bulb.
Leds require special projectors to cast light as effectively as possible. For example, those new fog lights you have seem to have led projectors. You can see it's shaped in a rectangular fashion like an NHL hockey visor. These are what you want retrofitted if you ever wanted to run LED headlights and not blind people. Also as mentioned before, it's easy to think that these are brighter than stock HID bulbs but if you compare both side by side, you'll see the HID bulb is throwing light further down the road than the LED bulb and still not blinding people. Here are some OEM examples. ![]() ![]() ![]() Check out this company: http://www.lightwerkz.net/ They can do anything you want to your headlights and could give you an ideal led headlight setup. The people in your town will thank you trust me! |

Yes its not perfect, i see if I can rotate the LED Bulb - I think it said that in the manual to have the LED's pointing up and down not side to side.
For now I just cope with the small issues I have |

Doesn't look too bad, but you need to get in the and bend back the squirrel finders. Do a search, there's a post that describes it.

After all that messing around it turns out I didnt even need the canbus decoder. It was the polarity being the wrong way round the whole time. Ive just tried it without the decoder. Its an easy mistake with the clips on the end of the LED light being one way on, so I just pushed it on the opposite way & BING they are on.
