Street
#21376 FRS/BRZ Tool Holder Removal Clarification
Since the FRS/BRZ foam tool holder is secured in place by factory plastic push pins,
without the spare tire holding it in place, it cannot be removed per rule 13.2.F

Seriously? smh....

Guess I'll be investigating what the part number is for those tabs and push pins. Those things stopped actually holding it in place a LONG time ago.

I looked them up on a whim a few days ago, noticed most people left their foam in last year at a tour so I've been leaving mine in since (this ruling should apply to stx per my understanding). And last week I lost the one on the right, figures.

FLOOR MATS. TWO OUNCES OF STYROFOAM. ERMAGHERD. The shit people write in about...

Shit, I've got the TX tour this week and one of mine is busted. I dropped a rear shock top nut under one and I don't think there's a way to remove them without snapping the clip. That's a stretch under comfort/convenience but what I will state if I get a weeny protest.

Lol that's awesome. So does that mean you can take the trunk carpet/spare tire cover (whatever you call it) out, being that there's no fasteners holding it in, but not the Styrofoam?

Garage
The foam pieces in my trunk are slowly being destroyed and I think I'm down to three of the plastic clips total - because they don't hold up to tools and tires floating around, and since the rules say to leave them, I do... If they'd said "yeah, that's not a big deal" I would have been happy, but not surprised they're strict on the interpretation.

That said, this is probably not intended to target this car specifically, but to keep from going down the exception-case road.

The real issue is that they're needed to properly support the cover, so if they get totally destroyed I'll be a bit upset.

Oh well.

Oh well.
~$35 each L/R, $50 for the piece behind the seats, blah, was hoping they'd be cheaper than that.

I'm sure some chucklehead will toss them on a local for sale list for $10 down the road in his quest to ruin a minty fresh stock car. If they don't end up in the garbage that is.

If you bring them to College Station this weekend, I'll give you a couple of bucks for two! I have to relocate my damn external reservoirs now, why the drama people?

Originally when I had mine in the trunk I ran the hoses through the styrofoam, but you need the dry-break fitting to do that. I wasn't at STX in 2015 but apparently it came up after the first day when a few of the top guys didn't have them and everyone agreed to put them in for day 2. Last year everyone had them in.
