Get a Recaro pole position seat. Sits much lower to the floor and you can slide it all the way back. Probably perfect for the 6 foot + peeps.

Im 5'10, 165 lbs never had a problem! But it is a mission getting in the back seat of a 2 door car I can only imagine the pain for 6ft + guys lol.

On a side note.. I would love to see the interior of the MK2 concept!! When will they show us this!

Damn we should start a FT86 basketball team!

I'm 6'2, 198lbs and my last compact car was an Integra. I thought that thing was a tight fit for me. I'm hoping it'll be like the current compact cars and look small yet offer a lot of head and leg room (Mini, xB, Fit etc)

Been loosely following the FT-86 for a couple years now and I guess I'm shocked to see that this car is so small. The other threads here are indicating this car to be about the size of an S2000 or 370Z. If this is correct then this car is going to be a catastrophe for Toyota. Everything I've heard is that this car is going to be a reasonably practical and affordable sports car. If this car really is that small I can't see it having back seats that are worth anything other than an insurance discount. I fully expected this car to have back seats something like a first gen Supra which my brother and I were able to uncomfortably fit in until we were in our teens.

I guess I don't see a point in a car that has 2/3 the performance of a 370Z for 2/3 the price. People who can afford to buy a completely impractical car that only holds 2 people can afford a 370Z or used Elise, etc. I was hoping for a car that would seat 4 (for short trips) and have performance that at least comes close that of a Z. If you are going to make a car for this market segment then you need to go all in. Just look at the RX-8 and how well that car has sold (dismally).

I dont see how a car that hasn't hit production can be scaled at 2/3 the performance of the 370z... but if there was a turbo version that was say 250hpish and given the weight stays around 2700 then the ft86 will have a pretty damn close hp/weight which should let it surprises a few cars.

either way there no point to make assumptions of how the car will be like until there is something to base them off of like shoots of the inside cabin

toyota got the interior room in the SW20 MR2 just right. it doesn't matter how tall you are, just about. i have friends who are 6'4"+ and they're fine in my MR2.

as long as someone my size (5'9" 185lbs) can fit reasonably well in the back seat for 20-30 minutes, i'll have no problem with the rear seat room. i KNOW i won't have a problem fitting in the driver's seat. average height FTW.

If your looking for space and sporty you should be looking at wrxs and lancers. Not here

F#*K my mates if they cant sit in the back.. Thats not my problem anyway. And what the f#*k do u want to be getting 6 foot + guys in the back anyway?? U know how ridiculous it would look hahaha, the R32, S13 14 & 15 are no different. The only things that should be in the back are:

* The girls
* The dog
* The Annoying mate who doesnt deserve shotgun
* Spare Rims & Tires
* Cartons of Piss
* The mate paying for the Cartons of piss

As long as it fits 2 spare sets of rims/tires in the back ill be stoked
