@Kaotic Lazagna You have a stock exhaust I'm assuming? I don't have any carbon monoxide detectors in my garage so I'm not sure about that. I would check for possible exhaust leaks. I've noticed that the smell is pretty strong occasionally. No idea why though.

There were several L&L BBQ back when I used to live in Sac. I used to work at the one off of Del Paso in North Natomas. No clue if it's still there since I haven't really been back in Sac in ages. I got my very first food poisoning from the Northgate location tho. Reason why I don't eat macaroni salad anywhere anymore.

All stock minus the Berk muffler delete. I am running the OFT OTS stage 1 91 tune. It's never done this until I stopped driving the FR-S as a DD. Car sounds the same as before, so I don't see why there would be any exhaust leaks anywhere????

Today I only stalled once in about 45 mins of driving!

I was at a T intersection with no stop signs for any of the three sides and one guy was probably going 30+ in a 25mph street, so I was turning left around 23mph or so and he was coming from the right side and wouldn't slow down. I pretty much had to somewhat slam the brakes, forgot to hold in the clutch, and *jerk, no more engine*. Of course he glared at me as he flew past.

My shifts aren't very smooth yet though and I haven't really gotten a chance to use more than third gear since I've just been practicing in residential neighborhoods.

Tried downshifting from third to second with a blip but without realizing I waited to lift my foot off the clutch till the RPMs from the blip didn't matter anymore.

Hopefully it'll all smooth out eventually. I'll need to be able to take it on 280 in the next week or two to San Jose. My parents keep saying I'm not ready, haha.

Exactly, all we have here are chains like L&L who don't really make anything other that the katsu and BBQ stuff. Hang ten in Alameda had kalua pork, mochiko chicken, spam misubi with real sushi rice that doesn't fall apart when you eat, etc. Guess I just got spoiled.

Rev matching is going to take a while, especially if you're heel-toeing. I wouldn't worry about that as much as getting smooth upshifting first.

The one I used to work at had kalua pork, pork lau-lau, garlic and regular mahi-mahi, but the rice was just regular sticky rice. Not the sushi-grade stuff.

Ah, okay. I was just trying a blip without braking at the same time.

I can just switch to the next lower gear without doing it then.

Just make sure when you switch, the revs are lower since it's also not the best to downshift without rev matching.

I think the pedal placements have changed from 2014 and the proceeding years. I can heel-toe easily in flip flops in my car, but when I drive the '17 86, can't do it. Feels like the gas pedal was lowered about an inch, so unless I'm really stepping on the brake pedal, can't do it.

Right, that makes sense.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Not that I'm anywhere near ready, but even just transitioning my foot from brake to gas or vice versa they're noticeably not as even/lined up as I'm used to from driving other cars.

The weird thing is I thought I saw someone on here say the reason is for better heel-toe'ing, since you'd probably blip the accelerator once you are already pressing the brake. I could be wrong though.

Years ago I used Bobby Keith. Excellent work, not cheap.

Nice, glad you liked it. I'm sure the Hofbrau hefeweiz is pretty good too.

oh dear.. my brz was parked in my parents driveway, and apparently since they're gonna have work done on their roof, the workers needed the driveway.

they found out after I'd left for work so my mom moved it to the street lol. apparently I taught her well enough while she's driven with me this week and she only stalled once.

Every time I go back to the Philippines and get driven around by my mom I'm reminded of how much of a bad ass driver she is
