Leaning toward clear, though, in all honesty, for the reason you mention.
The struggle is real! To me the smoke on the white just looks like there is a gap in the wheel arch.

Definitely go for clears with a white BRZ. The other black bits on the car flow with the body shape, whereas the side marker is just a rectangular chunk that also lights up at night.

iirc, I have the light smoked ones on my halo. None of my lights are smoked, but I think it works because my tire rims are dark. Trying a black/white theme.

Looks good. The black/white contrast was part of my thinking, too. But I think I prefer the clean white line there, after all.

Good choice. I'd recommend getting the OEM JDM markers, just so you won't potentially have water leakage issues (which I've heard is a problem with the Helix markers).

I have to admit, the water-leakage issue was giving me pause. Good to know about the JDM markers. Much appreciated.

OK, just ordered the clear JDMs and amber bulbs from FTSpeed, along with some other other little odds and ends. Jeez, I'm already buying aftermarket stuff and I don't even have my car yet! I must be losing my load!

Good craziness.

I'll probably pick up a set of OEM clear lenses with the amber LEDs. Maybe I'll drive over to your place for the install!

Took the BRZ out for my usual motorcycle Sunday am route - SF, GGB, over Mt. Tam in Marin, and north through Pt. Reyes Station to Tomales.

My conclusion? I'm a bike guy. It was fun, but nowhere the level of engagement and thrill of a motorcycle. Next time I'll be on a bike, the next car ride will be with my wife.
