That's the only reason why I wanted a brz over my frs. You get a lot of subi love from others. I had someone ask me if it was a Hyundai or a Korean car. I wanted to run him over.

Fellow Subaru drivers wave. "It's what makes a Subaru, a Subaru."

During my first week with the car, a Lexus IS with 3 people stopped behind me at a light. After taking off they made sure to pass me, and the driver and rear passenger windows went down; the driver nodded in approval while the late 20s passenger in the rear stuck most of his torso out of the window yelling "that's an awesome car bro!", giving me thumbs up as they pulled away.
A few lights later they ended up just ahead and to the right of me, and the passenger just kept staring and smiling, I put my window down in case he said anything again, but the angle wasn't very helpful. The only thing I made out was him telling the driver "it's just so nice," and "wow," while shaking his head in disbelief.

I was extremely flattered and couldn't help but smile and laugh, but I was starting to feel a bit confused... Felt like a little bit of an overreaction. Still my favorite encounter so far :P

Haven't had too many people actually come up to me and tell me they liked my car. I've heard/seen people talking about it to their GF/friend/etc. as I was walking to it plenty of times though.

Other than that just waves from other 86 and Subie drivers

I've had plenty of FRS/BRZ drivers wave at me or flash their headlights at me, once I had two brz's on the highway behind me for like 2 miles, no racing just cruising then they waved when they got off the highway I thought that was cool... I honestly don't see a difference, both cars are AWESOME! I can say I own my dream car

Two dumb teenagers thought my ride was so sweet they decided to throw an object at my car when I was driving down the road. Then proceeded to run away when I got on my brakes.

Had a teenager ask about my car at the drive through this weekend. I think he was getting off his shift since he stayed to talk awhile. Really polite kid, made me feel pretty good

I bought mine yesterday (finally), and it was sitting in front of the dealership as I was about to leave and a couple guys in a little 90s pickup rolled by real slow telling me how great looked.

I hadn't owned the car for 20 minutes and already it's getting noticed. I came from driving an 01 Grand Am so this is odd for me.... But welcome

I had just pulled out of the dealers lot for the first time and my wife let out a little scream. Apparently the driver in the car next to me was staring at us so hard he hadn't noticed the car stopped at the red light in front of him. He finely looked up just in time to mash the brakes and stop about an inch behind the other car.
Yep, car looked so good it almost caused an accident in my first 30 seconds of driving.

was at a small gathering of 86s at the local mall and a mom in her minivan circled us maybe 10 times before actually stopping and asking us how much the cars are and what they were called so she could tell her son.

I had another "Sweet Car" encounter again today, well maybe 1/2 a sweet encounter haha.

I was getting ready to back-up out of my parking spot in a shopping center. Then out of nowhere, this kid in his 17's walked up to the back of my car and said "Dad look! it's a GT86!" I waited for this kid to get out of the way and so I backed up. As I put it in first and moved forward, the dad was standing next to his 2 sons and asks "Whoa is that GT86 all wheel drive?" I just looked, smiled and drove away.

At first I thought that kid was gonna knock on my window and ask me something because he was too darn close when he pointed out the GT86 emblem lol. But anyways, I was gonna respond to the dad that it's not an AWD car. I decided to just smile and leave since it would've been awkward to reply and just drive off lol.

anybody else getting tired of saying, "No it's not AWD." and "no it's not fast at all"?

Don't have either of those issues but I pretty much explain what "Scion" was in my sleep now. Since the dealer only existed for 3 years around my area and they never, ever advertised the only people that have ever heard of them are a small section of the car guys. I must have heard "What is a Skiun?" a 1,000 times by now.
