I'm theoretically #6 on the list (ordered Mar. 3) at Subaru of Austin. I have heard nothing about ETA, and finally brow-beat a price out of them a week or two ago.

I don't know if they've delivered any cars yet, but they did mention that the cars they receive will be in no particular order. Hopefully I'm better off since I ordered one of the most common specs (premium WRB MT).

With all the chatter in this thread you'd think I'd have spotted one of you 86'ers on the road yet, but no such luck. I'm primarily in NW Austin close to RR, though.

Mind me asking what price you guys settled on? You can PM me if you'd prefer. I'm waiting on the car's arrival before negotiating a price since I have a trade-in and I want to negotiate the entire deal, but it would be good to know what other folk are paying at Austin Subaru.

That's a great offer, but I've been in one a few times first-hand, and I'm saving the drive experience for the drive home. At this point I might try and steal yours if I got close enough. (Patience is not one of my qualities)

While they did not give me an itemized price, I do have sale @ MSRP in writing. They were holding out as long as possible while the manager determined whether or not they were going to mark up.

Nice to know they are willing to offer MSRP.
(wow that sounds funny talking about MSRP as a good price hehe.)

Thanks

such a nice day. Noone can make it this morning so I'm in champion Toyota for an oil change. Service manager to talk to is Jared Jones. He hooked me up with a free oil change even though its not the service interval yet hell yeah. The master tech to talk to is either Ray (i talked to him this morning) or Klyde (not sure if I spell his name right) they are pretty excited to talk about the frs since they were the only two at Champion Toyota that attended Toyota class on the frs. First nugget he gave me: the clanking noise the engine makes at low speed is normal.

Great news! I also wanted to get an oil change soon even though it's before the interval. Did you schedule the appointment before hand and get everything cleared?

I called yesterday they said all appointments are full so I just show up haha. They took more than an hour but really I can't complain they were freaking packed. Leaving now for some mountain roads post break in

actually they said the reason why it took awhile was because they don't have the filter yet. They had to call in a favor with Subaru to get it I think lol. Jared is the man! His number is 797 0840.

I am getting pretty close to 800 miles, so I guess I will start looking for filters. I have been using Mobil synthetic oil and their synthetic oil filters for the last 8 years.so I really hope they have on for the FR-S.
