Probably the same as wheels made in Thailand or Philippines. I wouldn't be concerned.

I would be concerned, but I go to the track and put a fair amount of hard use on my car. Not so much a concern about the country of origin, because they can and do make good reliable stuff in China, but the issue of safety and authentic quality assurance. I've heard horror stories about how counterfeiters will replicate real wheel designs and even include quality markings like JWL that would lead you to think these wheels met those safety standards, when in fact they did not. Also remember what happened with the Bay Bridge, made with Chinese-sourced steel:

http://www.sacbee.com/news/investiga...le2589402.html

Those of you who don't track may not have to be as concerned, and the lower price point for these options is certainly tempting; for me it's one additional potential point of failure that I would rather not worry about.

My thoughts are that the country of manufacture doesn't tell you all that much. You can get high quality manufacturing in China and you can get low quality stuff too. It just depends on what you want to pay. If its some company with no history and they're making cheap replica wheels I'd be leery. If BBS started making a lower priced line of wheel in China I would trust them to still be properly engineered and have good QA.

Ambit was advertising their wheels as JWL/VIA certified when they supposedly weren't. Now they claim "Manufactured in a JWL/VIA Certified Facility". I don't know how those certifications work and if you can even certify a facility instead of a product but that sounds like a deceptive way of saying that their wheels aren't certified.

I don't track my car, but highway 37 has some unavoidable potholes that are pretty bad, and new ones form with every storm.

I added a new wheel in consideration for the Yaris. Sparco Trofeo 4, which I don't think Sparco makes any replicas of other manufacturer's designs (thinking the wheels were made in Italy).

https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...8&autoModClar=

I think they look good, matches the 4-lug look, same weight as the Enkei J10 (I actually like the Trofeo 4 design better on a 4-lug car), but still heavier than the Kosei K4R.

I noticed that the J10 and RPF1 are made in Thailand, and other Enkei wheels are made in China. The Kosei K4R is made in Japan, but I'm just concerned that they won't be made anymore since they're back ordered until the end of April, so I'm trying to decide on my runner up wheels.

Not a replica wheel, at least to my knowledge. Sparco Trofeo 4 wheels.

From what I understand most wheel geades are self certified basically so take them with a grain of salt. Like you said good and bad comes from almost all countries so pick a reputable brand and it should be ok

I think Sparco is reputable enough that I wouldnt worry about where its made. It should be fine imo

I do like the way they look, and I think the bronze goes well with the blazing blue Yaris, I'm just concerned that I'll forget about a pot hole on my way home at night and take it head on at 60 mph and the wheel either cracking or bending (even if they are 15's only).

Cast is more likely to crack, forged more likely to bend. That is if anything were to happen at all. Bonus 15 is taller sidewall tires. Any wheel besides oem or baller wheels you would need to worry about.

I like the Sparcos out of all your choices actually. Maybe another to consider for a little more money but are durable as hell (heavy though) are Gramlight 57DR

Definitely go with the Sparcos, best ones you've linked so far.

What profile tire will you be running?
