Help me choose coilovers!

After almost 5 years of ownership I'm finally ready to get coilovers. My use is mostly daily driver and I usually take twisty back roads. I would also want it to be decent for occasional track usage. I want the purchase to last me a long time and not something I regret in a year. My current choices are the tein flex z, greddyxkw, and Fortune 500 v6. I'm open to other recommendations. I'm also running a 17x9 wheel with a 255/40 tire so camber adjustability is a must.

What is your budget for the coilovers?
Usage being fast road & track mean you have a wide range of suspension to pick from, so it depend on what level of suspension you are after.

We do the MeisterR ZetaCRD which is fast road & track use coilovers, and they are designed to do that every well.

We also do the MeisterR GT1 coilovers which is our custom build single way adjustable damper using in house made CNC internal parts from our UK R&D workshop.
They are a bit more expensive at $1995.

As the GT1 are custom build, they can be made to suit any application and usage.
However, they are mainly designed for fast road & track use and a direct competitor to the Ohlins DFV.

We only recently release the GT1 for USA market, and they will be build at our USA workshop.
But all CNC internal parts will be form UK as we do not want to out source any precision parts to external engineering companies.

Have just fitted these after owning the car since October 2012. I am mighty impressed. A long way for delivery to you but I have heard of others in the USA buying these. They also sell a traction mod which reduces anti squat. I have XRs in stealth with 6Kg(F) 4.5Kg(R) + the traction mod. The coilovers handle the bumps well for the spring rates and magically maintain the contact pressure with the road. Amazing in the wet. The car is so much safer at speed, even the VSC behaves itself a bit.

Hankook RS3 255/40/17 and the wheels are 17x9 +35 rpf1s

How "Track Focus" do you want your suspension.
As a daily driver and twisty road, I would say compliancy would be on the top of the list.

But some people are willing to give up some compliancy for response.
So where do you want to place your focus with the suspension choice?

The CRD seems to fit my need. After reading the reviews from members on here. Your coilovers have definitely caught my attention now. I spend a lot of time near the ocean, what precautions have you guys taken towards rust proofing your coilovers?

I will echo the first three posts as being very good recommendations and add RSR Sport i Motospec and KW V3 if you feel like learning to tune suspension. Buy from a good vendor like Racecomp or CSG and they would have no problem helping you a bit with tuning it

Like most suspension used in the UK that also faces a salty winter condition, there are a level of anti-corrosion protection put onto the MeisterR coilovers.
The steel body are plated with black chromium and undergone sale spray test under ASTM B117 standard.
Most other metal parts are made of aluminium.

If you are near salty area, I would suggest coating the coilovers with a bottle of MeisterR ARC (Anti-Rust Coat).
This is a lubricant that are designed to bond to metal and form a 3 micron sacrificial layer to prevent corrosion.
They do not dry and last quite a while (up to 3 years if you were to leave it in a box).
Basically an advance version of the good old white lithium grease.
