@ELITE_RB Build built for 700

My FI Build has been on going for about a year and a half now. In this thread I will be posting pictures, what parts I have and more.
I got my used Scion FRS OCT or 2015 with 11,000 miles on it got for 18k.
My first mod was my tail lights I went with Valenti I love the way they look. After the tail lights I got a set of coil-overs I went with BC because I have had them in that past and I have never had any problems with BC coil-overs.
In DEC of 2015 I decided to order a V1 Rocket bunny kit.
Shortly after I put in the order for my wheels I went with WORK Meister s1r
F-18x9.5 -10 R-18x11-20 This offset was perfect for the rocket bunny kit.
During the same time I ordered all the suspension i would need.
Stance Rear LCA's, Whiteline rear sway bar, endlinks, Also got come caster arms down the road.

After I got the rocket bunny kit on the car with the wheels and everything I chilled out for a bit. OCT 2016 I needed more power!
I ordered a Turbo kit from Modern automotive performance in MN. Also during this time I wanted to run E85 flex fuel kit so I went with a PnP kit and that was a delicious tuning kit.

In November got the turbo kit installed with a Clutch Masters FX400 and if you were wondering I was running a GTX3071R with a 14lbs WG spring I knew it was a lot for a stock block. Needless to say the motor didn't last long. Motor was tuned at Pure Automotive it was at 385whp and 293tq. on E85

That same month (November) 11/21/16 I reached back out to MAP in MN and put in a order for a new built short block. Below is the following parts. $4400.00 Built for 700
-Brand new case half's
-New crank
-Manley Turbo tuff rods
-Manley 10:1
-King racing bearings
-HKS Head gaskets
-Rebuild kit
The new motor was shipped out about a month later around 12/27/16. When it showed up it looked great I couldn't be any more happy with the product and customer service from Ian (my sales rep at MAP in MN). Once the new motor showed up we them took my blown motor out of my car. I was planning on keeping the heads and just swapping them over to the new block. Well that didn't go as planed when we took the right side head off and opened it up and I saw 3 rockers that snap and some bent rods. At this point I was like when will it end. So I sent the Heads out to be worked on After some research I took them to Element tuning in Gaithersburg, MD, Phil is great to work with and is very knowledgeable on our motors, I decided to port the Heads and get oversized valves, new rockers, springs and retainers. The head work was $2500.00.
In the last couple weeks we were getting the motor ready to get dropped in.

As of right now we dropped the new motor the car yesterday 2/27/17. Everything went smoothly. Still need to install turbo manifold and new turbo. Yes I got a new turbo for the build. I went with a Precision 6262 reason for this is that The garrett GTX30 isn't built for beyond 500 also I didn't want to deal with coolant lines, the new 6262 can handle up to 700.

Please stay tuned for pics and progress! And if you have any questions PLEASE ASK. Also If you would like to see more pics please go to my IG @ELITE_RB

UPDATE

Alright guys so I work part time at a shop and I go there every day after I get out of my normal job, So today we pushed the car in put it on the car lift to bolt up the exhaust manifold. Well, the car didn't want to play nice today! So when the car was down I got a different oil pan to run with the turbo kit well needless to say how the new one is designed there was no way we were getting the exhaust manifold bolted up. I took the new oil pan back off the car and will drop it off with my fabricator tomorrow to get modified. I will post some before and after pics Soon. Also, you can follow the build on IG @ELITE_RB

Don't think that'll be enough for 700whp on ethanol. I got to around 550whp on 1000's with a 6262 on e85 with a walbro 485 pump and a return style fuel system. 10:1 motor as well. Have made 820whp on id2000's so far with an fa20

Alight guys got the car back on the road last weekend and the rocker went out the valve cover! Well the FA20 just has a poor design. Just a sad motor and wish I could go back and just throw a 2j well really a 1j because really don't need the 2j, The 1j will make plenty of power for the 86. One day, But for Now we are just fixing the rocker, Just really a bad luck situation. For anybody that is on the fence on swap or turbo lets just be honest in the long run swap will be cheaper. Unless you are only looking for 300whp anything over that down the road best bet you will have to build the motor. So long term just do a swap. LS, RB, 2J, 1J, even a big turbo V6? swap! What's your dream swap ?!!!

did they do valve springs when the motor was built? thats pretty much a requirement to fix the rocker issue.

Yes springs, valves, almost everything, But the good news is that element tuning is fixing all the damage at no cost so good on them! Phil at element is a great guy and extremely helpful! But what was really great was I got to drive my baby again! only for 22 miles but it is what it is! The crazy thing is, that we really don't know what caused it, I didn't even take the car past 5000RPM. All I was doing was VAC pulls as per my Break in instructions for the required 50 miles. Phil said it was just bad luck!

So I am still waiting to get the motor back from element but I have no ETA for that so its just a waiting game buts its been like that for 6 months now... so its no difference, BUT if anyone is interested in buying a complete built motor I would mind selling it and just do a 2j swap, I would sell it for $8000.00
