Alberta only has 5% GST, there is no provincial sales tax. I just moved to Saskatchewan a couple months back from Alberta and now pay 5% PST. Luckily enough I haven't changed my drivers license from Alberta yet so I purchased my car in Alberta to save the PST.

Not sure how it can be cheaper in Montreal, there's more tax.

Based on Build&Price (MT no options), should be $31,171.05 with $0 down in Ontario, $31,733.10 in Quebec.

In Ottawa I went for a quote. 7500$ down. Upgrade deck, Msrp plus freight/pdi hst 13%

Rest was finiance 4.9% 5 years

Before my down the total was around 31000$

In montreal same car was 30500$ ish

Brz were around 35.500-36k$k$ in Ottawa in 2 different dealerships
In montreal brz was 31,000$ plus tax is 15% it's around 35,650$

Please tell me how you guys are paying less then that. Thanks

Play it like you are NOT a car enthusiast and just want to get the car bc it looks cool, but couldn't really give a damn otherwise. Carcostcanada for invoice price, talk to a few dealerships and pit them against each other. E.g. First dealership I talked to quoted me invoice plus 4%, so I told second dealership that first one gave me invoice plus 3% and asked them to match and knock down admin fee, that I don't want any BS i.e. etching, nitrogen etc. Be prepared to get up and leave, pretend to talk to sales from dealership X on cell while negotiating with dealership Y, the usual car buying tactics.

That typically works on cars in surplus, not cars in demand. Especially Subaru since production is so limited. Call around, get the best you can but take into consideration order time.

Worked for my fr-s. Granted, I wasn't expecting to knock thousands off the MSRP, but $623 is better than nothing. I know people who actually paid above MSRP. Demand also depends on the demographics of the dealership's catchment area.

How are you guys getting these for under MSRP when there are supposed wait lists?
It's great, but I don't understand why they would sell it to you for less when someone is waiting in line?

Not all dealerships have people on waiting lists to buy them. Again, it comes down to market demographics. I've gone to big dealerships where they did have people lining up to buy and they wouldn't budge on price. In the end, I bought mine from a small dealership in another part of town that didn't have people lined up to buy, and knocked a fair bit off MSRP (considering the demand for this car).

Feel sorry for you bro. Bought mine at yorkdale. Closed the deal June 18, taking delivery July 12. Waited an hour to test drive at DVN, plus family and friends have had really shitty experiences after buying from them. After you sign on the dotted line, they don't give a rat's ass about you. I guess that's the price you pay for being able to play PS3 while you wait for your oil change.

You won't save a nickle on a brz for the foreseeable future. I couldn't get out of the admin fee or the etching. It sucks but what can you do. They are all sold.

What dealer "extras" did people pay

Paid Msrp basically after extras.

Was just wondering what dealer "extras" people had paid.

Just signed and paid for etching $290.
