Our other dances had a good mix which I was fine with. Prom, might as well went to a club. At least there, no teachers would be around to stop people.

The sound of my cooler master fan made me want to kill people. Just bought 2 noctua NF-a14 fans. Looking forward to some silent operation. Or at least my CPU cooler being the loudest thing in my case, which is totally livable.

Could just be running at sub-optimal speeds. I've had Coolermaster fans that were perfectly reasonable noise level until you ran them above a certain RPM.

Even with it turned down to the lowest target temp and fan speed and running about 20*c cooler than target temp, this one fan is the loudest son of a bitch out there.
