Are we talking about the hub with the bearing and the studs?

No, just wheel and brake needs to come off, hub is held on by four bolts.

Yea the entire assembly, I bought the whole thing instead of trying to pack bearings myself.

Reason why I asked is because I asked someone on YouTube and they said that you have to take those arms off in order to get to the axle but he also stated that it's the same process for the hub. That's great information though! That speed censor looks like something that's easily damagable. Thanks for the info !!!!

Haha... Holy crap! That's not supposed to come apart.

Pull all the parking brake parts off and get in there with a screwdriver. It's just a little rusty. Don't cock it sideways or it will bind. Work all around so it comes out evenly.

Or, since you'll be tossing it, you can get behind it where the screw holes are and whack it with a drift punch?

If you're gentle or have extras, you can put the screws back in until almost seated and tap on those with the drift punch.

I've tried a screw driver, putting weight on it. Using 2 bolts one north west and other south east and it using something in the middle to make that put spin and no luck. Idk what to do anymore :S

Thanks for your post!

Well, there's nothing but rust holding it to the carrier. It's a tight fit. If it's crooked, it's wedged even tighter. If you got it somewhat pulled away then cinch it back down so it's straight and try again. Tap all around in a circular pattern. Not just 2 corners. Just a little at a time. You'll get it.

Has it budged at all?

In detail so we don't end up going in circles, tell us exactly what you've done to this point.

I took a slide hammer, put it in the back of the hub part that's stuck. Went at it for 30 minutes and it didn't budge at all! I put the bolts in reverse and used a hub puller and it still won't come out

From your pic, it looks like it may have moved some initially. That's why I ask if it has budged at all.

Is that true?

Shit. Take all the brake parts off. Go at it with a custom chisel (reshaped as a wedge) and a BFH.

If that doesn't work, heat the carrier with a torch and try again.

Anyone know how to take the parking brake off? What about the upper control arm part? I might just take that part to a shop and have it pressed out.
