That's because it is. It may even be smaller but the way you can access it is worlds better than using the twin's more conventonal trunk. I feel like people would have to have owned a coupe with a hatchback configration to understand.

The problem comes in when you have to fit anything underneath the tiny ass trunk clearance of a twin. A single item, not something convenient like 4 wheels that can be adjusted until they fit. I recently bought a plastic tote that my Z or a vette would have swallowed easily and I got really pissed off when I realized I was going to have to move the passenger seat forward and put it in through the passenger door, where it also barely fit. I even got one that I thought would fit in the trunk but it just barely didn't. I was honestly very disappointed when I test drove the car and realized it wasn't a hatchback. I always thought they were and it would have been so easy for them to make it that way. Of course maybe they would have lost their built in convertible rigity that they've already pubilcly said they intend to make sure was nothing but a waste of time anyway. Either way I wasn't disappointed enough to not buy it.

Actually, yes because the rear seats are actually usable. I am a little over 6' and have tried to climb in the back of a 911, didn't work, but I actually fit in the back of my FRS. Your only options for new RWD coupe and fits 4 adults are BMW, Mercedes, twins, Mustang/Camaro/Challenger, and crazy expensive grand tourers like the Ferrari FF or Bentley Continental GT, if I am not mistaken.

If you want to throw out the rear seats, you should not start with this car. There is something called a Mazda MX5 that is a much better track car.

Basically this. Most people who can afford a Vette can also afford a more practical daily but I approached the OPs question like the poor pleb that I am and I can only afford one vehicle so I need something with a certain level of practicality including back seats which do get used once a week or so. I was also surprised how much I was able to fit in the back of the BRZ when I was moving last year, especially impressed when my 42 inch flat screen TV fit in the back with plenty of room to spare. I'm sure even a 46 inch would have fit no problem although I wouldn't bet on anything larger than that.

I managed to fit four 245 R17 tires along with four 17x9 RPF1s in my FR-S (unmounted). I was pretty impressed lol.
