The trunk is annoying as hell. I'm used to my old BRZ where you could just shut it normal. I have to slam this one.
Yea I have an iPhone 5s, called my sales rep and he says I need to be plugged in with the USB.

The trunk is really tough but I'll get used it it

Pandora works with the cord or Bluetooth on my 16.

They have a couple yellow cars on the lot at the dealer but I actually like the pop of the red one and the glittery gunmetal. Nice.

Still trying to figure out this dip thing ppl speak of...like what kind of expectations people have if you floor it at 40mph in 4th out of 2 liters. Just in my normal driving, acceleration seems quite linear in its build to a cresendo. Drive by wire isnt like a holley 5140 double pumper but it's the name of the game in this day and age...like pushing a sponge.

Ben Harper came to town and played in the Tennessee theater. Near the end of the show, he set the microphone down and sang accapello. There was that one drunk idiot in the crowd that yelled out 'free bird'. The torque dip hype is free bird.

UPDATE:

So the pandora app on the radio unit doesn't work through bluetooth unless it is plugged in via USB. You can run the pandora app on your phone and play it on the radio unit through the bluetooth audio source.

Still one of the things I dislike about the car because the name/artist only stays on the first song played. As songs end and a new one is played, the screen is like frozen on the first name/artist.

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion but there are my quick thoughts
Your owners manual says close the trunk by pushing down on the spoiler.

You are correct but specifically on the outer portion of the trunk where the spoiler is mounted, since that is where the support is and you don't break the spoiler. I still have trouble closing it even where it says to do so in the manual

I just close it by the middle support, hand on top of the spoiler. Tried not using the spoiler but the trunk lid bounced every time. guess they beefed up the shocks.

Just how hard are you pushing to close your trunk? Shouldn't take more than 5 or 6 pounds of pressure to close it and I doubt you could damage the spoiler with that.

I complained also. The radio is worse than my '15 but, you have a good point. I've resolved to just change it out. Now to source a full length series yellow dash trim...

It's dramatically different than the older cars. I never had a problem with my '15 FR-S. These '17 BRZs, there's something weird about the spoiler being on there - it requires a bizarre amount of force to get it to latch.

Base radio best radio.

Seriously, if I ever lose my car and get another, I'm hunting one of these down, it's damn near perfect except for the occasional BT connection hiccup. And now that I think about it, it's down to happening 3-4 times per year on a car I drive every day.

Yeah, takes way more pressure than that on the 17.

Sounds more like a phone compatibility issue.
Everything works as intended with my phone.

Maybe they increased the spring tension to compensate for the spoiler weight?

Even if it takes 20 pounds though I can't see you damaging the spoiler. It isn't made of fine china or paper mache.

They definitely added stronger struts for the spoiler.

I usually throw it down from the bottom of the trunk anyway.
