My tail light gaskets are taking extra long to get here (were supposed to be here Friday), so I checked the tracking # to see why. It appears that they took a short detour to Puerto Rico on the way from Iowa to California. Makes perfect sense.

It's a Christmas miracle, they're finally here. As expected they look different than the older gaskets. Also they have a paper backing on them with some pre-applied adhesive in certain spots, but not around the entire thing - check it out.
Maybe the new 17 tails are sealed since they are LED now and thus a good seal isn't as crucial? I'm still thinking that the black 3m weatherstripping sealant stuff would be a good idea, what do you think?

Check out this $28 license plate frame. It's super solid metal with no flex to it at all.
Judging based on the original pic on the FT86SF site, I thought the lettering was going to be painted white, but it's actually engraved in the medal and then covered by a clear resin seal. Check out those machining marks! Pretty cool.
