But if it just needs a reseal, that's good to know. The leak appears to be very small as the gunk on my underpanel looks like it built up over the past year. Though... if I can hold out, it may just give me a reason to do a full rebuild of my engine.
Some of the oil looks fresh mind you.

TBH I'd just monitor oil loss at first. Has there been any?

If there was I didn't even notice it. I'll check it over the next few days.

Beatrush vented underpanel. It's quite pretty. Too bad it's gonna get dirty :p

If you haven't already seen my thread on the install of the Beatrush aluminum underpanel here it is:

Not a difficult one at all but anything helps is the way I look at it...

Started working on installing the OEM oil cooler (again), but this time I stripped the hex bolt on the bottom of the engine. So now I'm going "throttle body" route instead.

OEM oil cooler installed! Initially it seemed like it would be impossible to reach my hands underneath my supercharger where the throttle body coolant outlet was blocked off. However, after removing my alternator I was able to reach the clamp and remove the nipple. Same with the rear where the supply branches off (this is the pipe, for others who do the oil cooler properly, which is replaced by the Forester models'). Because I stripped the hex bolt on the engine block, I said screw it.

Here is where the throttle body outlet was capped off. I would have taken a picture of the rear piece, however, as soon as I removed the nipple on the back, coolant came gushing out. In my panic to stop it and allow myself to swap the new hose in, I bumped my face into the underside of my car. Now my left cheek has a great ringer...

So I've been having some transmission issues over the last few months. It started with a faulty TOB from my Southbend Clutch kit (which I was using to replace my already dying stock TOB). Turns out it damaged the input shaft-- or whatever the TOB rides on-- so that caused the new one to fail within a month. Took my car into the shop a week ago and had the shaft and the bearing fixed. I hope to God that this is the last time I need to have my transmission dropped.

The mechanic suspected the issue was also exacerbated by the Velox clutch fork I had installed with my SBC kit. I don't believe this was true, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them replace it with the stock fork. Sooo, with that said, I think I'm at my wits ends with issues. Funny enough, people ask me what kind of problems I've had with my car since I have a supercharger on it. Aside from running lean and needed to tweak my tune, I've had no issues*. It's all been with the transmission oddly enough.

Stay tuned for a couple updates!!!

*I did notice I have a small leak at the crankcase/ valve cover. Though the leak seems to take forever to really show any sort of symptoms. I.e. oil on the skid plate. Will fix that in due time. For now, I'm a broke bastard.

So I've had my Cosworth kit on for nearly 2 years now (installed in May of 2015) and I've hit the 30,000 mile mark on the supercharger. Very few issues and it's still running strong. Still no track days on it, but a few spirited drives. Hopefully this fall I'll be able to put her on the track. Life's been good.

Took off the TRD Quickshifter the other day and replaced with the Perrin shifter bushing. Although the concept for the quickshifter was nice, the bolt kept coming loose and backing out. This required me to jack the car up and tighten it. I believe this happened roughly 4 times over the course of 2 years. Last week, it backed out enough to where I couldn't get into 1st or 2nd gear. That was the final straw, so I ripped the bastard off and replaced it with the perrin shifter bushing and adjusted the lockout plate. If I were to do a short shifter again, I'd either go with the STI or Kartboy.
