I stopped trying to fix my parents' computer and simply nuke the OS and reinstall. Don't know what links and other stuff they click on but every couple of months its "Steve! Can you fix the internet? Its broken again"

I had to go clear all the porn from my dad's computer about once a week. He once had over 200 pop ups open in the background. He never knew where they came from though since he was always just looking for "tractor parts".
