I accept the fact that every year after I take the winters off, we'll get one more snow day at least and when I take the summers off, the next day is guaranteed to be 20+*C. Such is life.

Actually that's a good point.

Oh, and this just came out of the oven. Time to open a jar of homemade peach jam.

maybe not. I sold my STi in 2012 (only AWD car) and this is the first year we have had good snow since lol

Driving in snow on the summer tires isn't an immediate death sentence but it does take real finesse. I hemmed and hawed over it even after the shop called to tell me they had arrived.

Close to @humfrz' point, it was when Mrs. Ultra reminded me we would be taking a trip this coming weekend. I finally came to my senses. Besides, they'll last practically forever.

My summer tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE71R's, so, I'd say it's a bit (lot) more of a risk than the average tire.

I'll find out in a couple years after I replace my second set of Primacys. They still have plenty of tread which is good because I'm cheap but bad because I'm pretty excited about trying out those S04-PPs

It's just plain stupid to drive in the snow on summers. As far as using them in the cold, meh. Learn to test for the limits and drive accordingly.

So according to this video of a news story, I am more likely to be in a road rage incident because I have anime stickers on my car? News must be slow down south... :o

I got caught in a freak blizzard this past spring driving from Mississauga to Guelph (about an hour drive) and it was not enjoyable. Then, this fall, we got about an inch of snow overnight and I had stayed the night at my girlfriend's parent's house. Another butthole clenching drive. I need less extreme summer tires.
