Tranny, dif and tune up
Well tranny fluid didn't make much difference. Just a tid bit.
What did make a difference.. Tune up. It runs so smooth and so good It cost a fortune to get a tune up...Ya have to lift the engine? WTAF Oh well its all done, won't have to get done again

More details on the tune-up. Indy shop, dealer? List of service? Mileage?

They probably sold old @RichardsFRS ...... a set of plugs, a set of points, a condenser, a new coil, spark plug wires and adjusted the valves and set the timing and dwell .......

Reminds me of one time, back-in-the-day, I was setting the timing on my 1970 MGB.
The timing mark was conveniently ( ) located on the bottom part of the crankshaft pulley. So, one had to lay on their back under the car to take a reading ..... then jump out and turn the distributer.Well, I got the timing set then took the car for a spirited drive. I heard a strange noise but ignored it till I got back to my garage. Looked underneath the car and there was the poor timing light, which had been dragging on the ground. That's the reason I could never have nice tools ...... ![]() humfrz |

We must have offended Richard though since he never did come back and tell us what the tune up included.
