The main point was to be able to point the camera up more. the second was to hide it. My paint is reflecting the camera. here I photo shopped the reflection out so you can how much the camera is actually showing. this is also viewed from an angle lower than the car would normally be viewed from.

Any shots of how it looks on the head unit or if it even looks any different?

Ha my bad didn't realize the topic started a couple pages back, usually read the forum on my app. Looks good, I reversed into a BBQ pit last week and am going to drop off my car for repair Friday. Totally considering adding a cam now lol.

I made an aluminum bracket and attached it with some strong two sided adhesive foam tape. it seems rock solid. I think it came out pretty good.
How hard was it to wire up to the head unit?

I used this kit.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...ostcount=14758

install was fairly easy. hardest part was the reverse trigger wire. I would recommend buying one pre-made. you need to tap into a jack in the back of the head unit. the jack is empty in that slot. some people jam a wire in. I didn't want to do that. It happened that I had a pin that would work. then connecting to the wire behind the drivers side kick panel is not an easy reach. I did manage to strip and solder the wire. the wire you are tapping into is pretty small. I used a 22 guage for the jumper and it was a little smaller than that. I tucked the wire going back to the camera under the center console and under the back seat. that simplified the install.
here is a pre-made trigger wire.

Interesting. Does that panel still drop to give you a pass through for larger items, or is your trunk full of woofer now?

No pass through capability anymore. The amp rack and sub enclosure take up roughly half the trunk, basically the part under the rear deck.
