1.) What has been your sports car progression?
This is my first Sports car, and really car in my adult years. I'm coming out off two trucks, an 08 Ram 1500, and a 12 Xterra, so this is a new world to me. I'm a truck guy, but 22+ MPG is hard to argue with. I reckon I'll have more, but I'm still a Diesel guy at heart. 2.) What are your eventual goals? Goals as in car are a little lower and full exhaust to have a fun daily driver that I track. Goals as in Car goals, well my dream garage for bein 22, is my BRZ and an LLY Duramax, but they change a lot. 3.) Where does the BRZ fit in this progression for you? To early to tell. I love my little rascal, but I had alternative motives for buying it, that just got dashed. I plan on keeping it though. |

1.) What has been your sports car progression?
Pretty much my only two sports cars have been MKV GTI and there is a reason its always winning awards for best hot hatch. Now the BRZ, haven't gotten it yet (2-17 arrival date) but its was an amazing experience to drive my buddies and test drive the PP. Cant wait for it to finally get here 2.) What are your eventual goals? Have my wife with a WRX or even Tesla. Ill have a FZ-09 bike, rock the BRZ until it dies, and have a caterham 7/4C/F-type 3.) Where does the BRZ fit in this progression for you? I figure its somewhere in the middle, If I happen to hit the lotto then it would be just the beginning! |

1986 Camaro
1987 trans am 1978 trans am 1986 vette 1986 grand national 1986 Porsche 2010 challenger r/t 2014 Camaro 2016 WRX 2016 vette Still own all except for the 86/87 Camaro and trans am and the '14 camaro. I was going to trade the '14 Camaro for a '17 BRZ but then I drove the vette. I might sell some stuff and get the BRZ. It's a great car. I have no space as you can imagine. I'm kind of into cars. |

1.) What has been your sports car progression?
Hmm, I will try to remember...some of these are hardly "sports cars" but more tuner cars, or whatever label you want to give them. Basically cars I got for fun or modified...lots of other DD's or trucks in between. Plus, I had gone through 6 different sportbikes over the years.
2.) What are your eventual goals? None really. I just like cars that are fun to drive. I seem to swap out cars once a year, but I am trying to hold the BRZ for a while I have lots of plans for my current cars and there are lots of cars I would love to own someday. I really want an e92 M3, that is highest on my next car list. However, I also want an M2, which I had a deposit on until just recently (got tired of waiting for an allocation).3.) Where does the BRZ fit in this progression for you? One of the most fun cars I have ever driven, next to my Miata's. I will probably swap it out when I get the itch for more power again...which seems to be every other year

![]() Another funny thing is that I also owned my Subaru for 5 years until I sold it. I still miss it from time to time due to nostalgia and the memories. However as a drivers car, the twins are a more driver focused car. By the way, nice choice with the Zenki. I always told people to go out and buy the last 2016 models while they still could. For me, the Zenki will always be my preferred choice

1.) What has been your sports car progression?
1991 Skyline R32 1993 Mitsubishi Evo 2 1995 Mitsubishi Evo 3 1995 Toyota Mark II JZX90, think Camry with a stock 1JZ twin turbo and RWD. 2014 Scion FRS The R32 and Evo 3 were the best sports cars I have owned. I just did bolt-ons but those cars were so much fun and handle like none other. I sold the R32 cuz I moved to Korea for a year and couldn't have a car there. Got to Okinawa after and Bought the Evo 2, sold that to get an Evo 3. Sold the Evo 3 to save money and got a 99 Cube but got bored rather quick and got the Mark II. Then I got back to the states and had a 99 Blazer then a 2013 Camry before the FRS. 2.) What are your eventual goals? The first and foremost goal is it to keep it driveable and reliable, right now its my daily. For now I'm going to keep it N/A and try to get over 200 hp out of it. Keep it clean and do a little bit in the looks department and that is it for now. But, the thought of doing FI does come up once in a while, maybe in a couple years Ill seriously think about. 3.) Where does the BRZ fit in this progression for you? Maybe in the middle, definitely not the end. I would like to get back into a stock turbo car eventually. I'm thinking about getting a GT-R in a few years or importing an Evo 3 in a couple years when they become legal, leaning more toward the Evo. At that point these will be just toys and Ill have something quiet, slow that gets great gas mileage, and on the boring side as a daily. Last edited by KnightRyderx2; 02-01-2017 at 05:41 PM. |

1) The BRZ is the first true sports car I've owned and drive daily, my car history is as follows. 2002 Civic EX Coupe 5-speed MT 2005 Civic EX Coupe 5-speed MT 2013 Subaru BRZ Premium 6-speed MT 2) It's my daily driver, so I don't really use it to its full potential but I would like to learn how to drive it on a track one day. I just have very light mods right now, not looking to do anything crazy. 3) Though I love my BRZ and it's the best car I've gotten to drive to so far. I probably won't ever get another pure sports cars if it's the only car I own, it's just not practical. I will most likely get a WRX as the next car, which isn't going to be for a while. |

My list of sports (and sporty) cars. I'll leave off the trucks and stuff.
1990 Mazda Miata 1990 Nissan 240SX 2003 Ford Focus Hatch 2005 Ford Mustang GT 1990 Ford Mustang LX SSP (Built 306 SBF, big single turbo) 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra 2017 BRZ Series.Yellow Every car on the list (except the BRZ for now) has seen some sort of track use. I guess the BRZ is finally bringing me back to my roots of when I started autocrossing and doing the occasional track day ~17 years ago.

1.) What has been your sports car progression?
1985 Prelude Si 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST 2016 Subaru BRZ 2016 Ford Fiesta ST Had the Prelude in High School and the Eclipse right out of college. Never had enough money to mod although i wish the Eclipse didnt blow up (i overboosted) as i would have loved to mod that platform. Now in my 30's i make enough money that i bought my favorite sports car (BRZ) and it's FWD rival back to back. 2.) What are your eventual goals? The Goals for the BRZ are far. But i've always been a lover of old school JDM Classics. My eventual garage will contain my BRZ, MK4 Supra, MR2 Twin Turbo, 240SX. 3.) Where does the BRZ fit in this progression for you? Technically the beginning as it's the first time in my life i could just throw thousands of dollars at my car without putting myself into a financial sinkhole. As you can tell by my signature it's a pretty expensive a long mod list, with thing still to come. And honestly, i love this platform so much i want another one just so i can go a completely different direction with it.

1.) What has been your sports car progression?
88 BMW 325 2002 WRX Wagon 2007 Mini Cooper 2005 WRX STi 2013 FRS (current) 2005 MR2 Spyder (current) 2.) What are your eventual goals? The FRS will be my fun/weekend car in the long run. Right now building to get competative. I dont plan on getting rid of it and may end up with a kouki BRZ or Fiata eventually for the GF. Still want a WRX Wagon again since I miss the snow and need awd again. Also would love a e30/36 track toy once im older and can afford such toys. Also could see myself getting a new weekend car upgrade like a Porsche and rebuilding my current twin as a DD. Comfy and FI in that iteration. 3.) Where does the BRZ fit in this progression for you? The vehicle that will teach me more then I could image and stay with me forever. Never owned a car this long yet and even the MR2 I'm looking at getting rid of sooner rather then later. Out of all the cars Ive owned and driven the twins are the most perfect. |

70 Chevelle SS396 auto 73 Mercury Capri 4cyl (german import) some pretty crummy american sedans 88 Integra 3dr 88 Integra 5dr 02 Maxima 15 BRZ Simultaneously ran through a pretty large number of motorcycles. The Hi and Low spots are a couple of early and mid 70s CB750s, an 81 CB750 based roadracer, an 81 CB900F daily rider, and an 02 VFR800 on the high end. The low end was probably a 73 Norton 850 Commando Interstate. It was a low because everything bad you've ever read about early 70s British motorcycles is true. It was a blast to ride, but the it was possessed by the doppelganger of Joseph Lucas and what didn't break would usually shake itself off. It once vibrated out the screws that held the float bowls on. Fortunately, I carried spares. Guess why. A cell phone addled blond in a Tahoe brought a painful end to my 50 year motorcycle habit and bought me my BRZ. 2. As to the future, For the forseable future I plan on leaving the BRZ mostly stock. Just a few comfort and light performance mods. I do dream occasionally about Caymans (or is it Caymen) and 911s. I also dream about amorous encounters with Catherine Zeta Jones, Heidi Klum, and every now and then (still) Raquel Welch (in our younger days). The cars are about as likely to happen as the women but I do have a decent fantasy life. 3. For me it's not so much about where the car fits, but the fact that I fit in the car. With a 37" inseam very few sporty cars accept me and the ones that do I can't afford. The Integras were a squeeze. Little Bleu BRZ is perfect.
