You can always update the FRS by trashing that cheesy halogen for Winjets and Toyota badge and voila. Good to go

Went to a toyota dealer today. I think its funny that they think because they dont make Scions anymore, that they can price the FRS at a premium.....lol

Well, since it's a Toyota now, they get to say they "refined" it to make it a more mature looking & acting sports car (or whatever), and as such, tacking on another grand or two to the MSRP is required. Nevermind that half the colors that used to be no-cost choices for a Scion are now added cost options on the 86. Want Hot Lava? $500, please & thank you.

EDIT: Wait, I realize I read that wrong. Are you saying they're listing a Scion FR-S at a higher price because the brand is defunct? Not an 86, but an FR-S? It's not like it's a friggin' Lotus or a GTR, lol. Man, I feel bad for the person who goes in there and pays what they're asking.

I mean you get the better headlights and taillights, plus radio steering wheel controls I feel though it would've icing in cake had they made the dual zone climate control standard. And of course you get the all mighty Toyota badge that many of us have been begging for years.

So local Toyota dealer has 2 Oceanic 86s that I'm interested. The only problem both come with the factory spoiler which I don't like. Is it possible to have the Dealer remove them or am I out of luck that I have order one without the factory spoiler?

Where's the next nearest dealer? See if they've got one without.

It's likely drilled into the trunk.

Nope. Not "likely". They are drilled through.

LOL. In case that's directed at me, I'm certainly not offended, just amused at how some shiny junk and ugly plastic is "aggressive" on a car that is slower than my dead grandmother.
It's the one thing that stands out as a complete design afterthought on the 86. It sucks that they felt the need for it, and given what a nasty mess the Prius is evolving into, I suspect the 86 won't be far behind in the race to make it uglier.

Fake, plastic aggressiveness on a car that can't back it up is dumb, IMO. But, as we see, it sells.
