When I researched cat back exhausts I considered TRD. But my stealership cust. service writer told me for $1300.00 there's better aftermarket brands of exhausts. I'm happy I took his advice & bought a Perrin 2.5 Resonated cat back. Check the sponsors on this site as they have deals.

The FT86SF is a good option if getting headers later on. Not too loud and little rasp but good tone. TRD may be ok but slightly loud. Others i havent heard in person to comment on. Perrin and Miltek 2.5" res are my favorite exhuast for a full headerback setup though

I second the muffler delete. Spend the money on a header instead.

If you dont want drone and attention stay far away from a muffler delete with a header

It is kinda tolerable for some by itself but its just wasting money if adding a header later based on your criteria

Yeah, muffler delete is not an option. I want a nicer tone at WoT like with my K20/K24 Hondas or E46 M3, not a police magnet.

I'll try to keep an eye open for used TRDs, but I'm not seeing anything come up on ebay, Craigslist or Kijiji. I'll try to see if any of the local wreckers have anything.

I'll probably search for a month and if nothing shows up on the used/recycled parts market, I'll either go Borla, try to squeeze the dealer to the $1,100 range or call in a favour at Toyota/Lexus Canada Corporate (though my wife is car shopping so I'd prefer save the favour for her).

I have heard the Q300 and MagnaFlow in person and they are both way too loud (and ricey, imho). I considered the Perrin resonated, but to my ears, it just sounds like a slightly louder version of stock, which is no bueno.

No. Unless I have lost count this would be his 9th exhaust on the car.

I have an MXP SP catback that I really like. Nice smooth, low tone. Really unique design. Paired with my stock decatted header it's not loud but audible, and is wife approved. (She doesn't approve of many/most mods.)

On the real, send me a PM. Looking to sell my corsa, if you like the sound of it, I'm sure we can come to an agreement.
